Meet Beckett, a happy, handsome boy with a tan, black, and white short coat, a grin that stretches ear to ear, and the most charming bat-wing ears you’ll ever see. At 2 years and 10 months old and weighing 57 pounds, Beckett is the perfect blend of playful energy and loyal companionship. He’s the kind of dog who makes every day feel like an adventure—and then tops it off with a snuggle.

Beckett is a true people pup. He loves making new friends, soaking up affection, and flashing his wide, open-mouth smile at anyone who looks his way. Playtime is his favorite, whether it’s chasing toys, exploring new places, or simply trotting by your side, Beckett knows how to turn ordinary moments into joyful ones.

He recently got to enjoy a Borrow a Buddy outing, where he visited a park, a home, and even a pool. What did Beckett love most? Meeting new people, sniffing new smells, and soaking in all the exciting sights and sounds. Along the way, he showed off his excellent leash-walking skills, impressed everyone with how gently he takes treats, and rode in the car like an absolute pro. Beckett is not just fun—he’s also well-mannered and ready to fit right into your daily routine.

When the excitement winds down, Beckett is a soft-hearted companion who just wants to be near his favorite humans. If you sit, he’ll sit with you. If you smile, his tail will wag. And if you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts playmate, partner, and best friend—well, that’s Beckett’s specialty.

Beckett is waiting for his loving home at the Dallas Animal Care Center (2400 Lone Star Dr, 75212), open daily from noon to 6 p.m. His adoption fee is just $75, and like all SPCA of Texas, he’s neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Love Is Blind season 8 meets Dog Day Out... and we're ready to say, "I do!"

Thanks to VCA Charities' amazing partners at Minneapolis Animal Care & Control, in collaboration with their Dog Day Out initiative, we are grateful for the success of the Fido Field Trip Program! Back in the Spring, the shelter dogs got their own “Love is Blind” adventure when the fabulous ladies of Season 8 joined the fun, taking some shelter pups out for unforgettable field trips filled with smiles.

Did you know that research shows that dogs who experience a single day outside the shelter are 10x more likely to be adopted?! These outings give shelter dogs a break from the kennel, which reduces stress while increasing community volunteerism.
