Setting your dog up for a successful groom can be challenging. Avoid these stressors on groom day whenever possible:

1. It is stressful for your pup when you leave for a trip or return from one, so your dog needs time to adjust.

2. Scheduling a groom on the same day as a vet appointment can overwhelm your dog, who may already be near their threshold and less able to cope with two demanding appointments in one day.

3. Avoid grooming while your dog is recovering from an injury, as healing comes first.

4. Refrain from grooming while your dog is mourning a loss, since emotional recovery should be prioritized.
