A couple of years ago a Des Plaines woman, Marie, passed away. She left behind 2 American Eskimo dogs. Spunky and P***y are 5 years old now. Marie’s brother, Mike, has been doing his best to take care of the dogs. They really need a new home where they have a yard to play in and have the opportunity to get more attention. These are fun loving, good natured, happy, healthy dogs. They need to find a forever home where they can stay together. Photos to follow soon. I was in Pet Supplies Plus in Des Plaines yesterday and found out they are hosting a non-emergency veterinary clinic. Rabies Vaccine for dogs is free and for cats costs $10. Other vaccines are offered at a low cost. The time for the clinic is 9:30 to 11 on Saturdays Sept 07, Oct 05 and Nov 02. The clinic is VipPetCare.com. Just wanted you all to know about a great photo opp. Marge Hudson from Wetnoze Pet Photography will be at Gentle Touch Grooming on Sunday, Sept 29. Marge is offering different backdrops and portrait packages.
10% of sales will be donated to The Dog House Humane Group of McHenry.
Donations of supplies will also be collected. The rescue needs the following items to be donated to help save more animal lives! - Dog crates - Dog beds - Dog toys - Dog & cat food wet and dry (Brands in need Merrick and Natural Balance ) - Puppy pads - Puppy formula - Puppy food - Dog Treats - Dog bowls - Vinegar - Bleach - Comforters - Towels - Sheets - Blankets - Dish soap - Laundry soap - Leashes, Harnesses and Collars -Grooming Supplies (brushes, shampoos, detanglers, defurminators)"
