Treats Unleashed started in the summer of 2002 with a batch of Apple Cinnamon Hearts at a kiosk in the mall. Today, Treats Unleashed is still 100% family-owned.

It didn’t take long before the whole family got involved by helping paint the first store in Chesterfield! From there, Treats Unleashed has grown to a total of 17 stores! Teresa’s father spent his career in animal nutrition and helped develop the recipes for all the treats on our treat tables today. Teresa’s sister is the manager at the Chesterfield location, and you will almost always find parent

It's Back-to-School time! 📚🍎✏️ Here are some pointers from TU Ambassador Beaver (.dog on Insta) for starting the year on the right paw:
1. Always remember a pencil pouch. Or a wobble toy (West Paw toppl featured) filled with tasty treats and doggy-safe peanut butter. Close enough! Not only is it a great distraction, but it's great mental stimulation.
2. Always turn in your homework! (Especially if the homework is a freshly-baked honey treat with yogurt icing from the TU bakery table. Professor Beaver is happy to accept all assignments.)
3. Don't forget to treat yourself at the end of a busy day! Breaks are important for both two-legged and four-legged students! So grab a snooze or a snack when you need to.

Happy ! 🐈‍⬛🌙 It doesn't have to be Halloween to celebrate these sweet companions.
While the myth that black cats bring bad luck has lost momentum over the decades, studies still show black cats make up 33% of all cats coming into shelters due to the dominant genes of black fur & that some people see black cats as 'boring.'
Today is a great opportunity to spoil your own black cat with treats or extra cuddles, or to donate supplies or funds to an animal rescue near you.

It's Friday, but not just any Friday. It's also Aug. 8, ! 🐱 And MEOW, do we have a lot to say.
We see so many wonderful feline family members (like our Siamese supermodel & TU Ambassador, Marco) come through or store doors every day! Every encounter is special, but on this day, we wanted to take a moment to show love to some cats that need it most - kitties in shelters and foster homes that are still waiting for their forever families.
So, we reached out to local shelters across Missouri & Kansas and asked them to share some advice, wish list items, and do some adoption myth busting. Plus, we have some special shelter spotlights on some long-term or special shelter residents!

Today of all days, be sure to give your feline family some extra love & treats, or maybe even donate a wish list item to your local shelter!
