Rooftop Gardens Unique Workforce Development Program designed for former foster youth that leverages urban farming.

Rooftop Gardens is a workforce development program designed for at-risk youth living in the Des Moines metro. Youth participate in a 6 month paid program that builds life and workforce readiness skills in a classroom environment while supporting the seeding, transplanting, harvesting, and packaging of Romaine Lettuce in 6 on-site hydroponic freight farms.
