The Iowa Equitation Cup Finals was well attended with five riders competing!

Congratulations to Grand Champion Libbie Verba, riding Snap Crackle Pop, on her magnificent ride to capture the title of 2025 Iowa Equitation Cup Grand Champion!

Claire Nibe had a phenomenal performance to capture Reserve Grand Champion aboard Little Bit O’Drama.

Our first Junior Judging competition at Des Moines Springfesr was a huge hit, with 27 Junior exhibitors participating!

Congratulations to our winners in both age groups! The next Junior Judging Competition will be at Midstates Horse and Pony Show in July, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Calling all Junior Exhibitors! We will be holding a Junior Judging Competition during the Des Moines Springfest Saturday evening session, April 26th, starting at 6:00. Giveaways for all participants and prizes for highpoint winners! Join the fun!

Our first IHSA Junior Judging Day was a ton of fun! We discussed Saddlebred conformation and judged a halter class, did a show grooming contest, watched a video of an American Royal class with judging points to watch out for, and made posters about the different show divisions. We look forward to the first Iowa Junior Judging competition at Des Moines Springfest! Thanks to all the junior equestrians who came out today! Thank you to IHSA Board members Erica Jones, Deanne Mundt, Lindsey Calvert, and Morgan Dezenski-Miller for organizing this event!
