Getting to HSWLA from DeRidder: Drive North on Hwy 171, take the first U-turn after Catfish Hut Rd. Head South on Hwy 171 and HSWLA will be on your immediate right. Getting to HSWLA from Leesville: Drive South on Hwy 171, pass through the town of Rosepine. The HSWLA will be on your right, just past Hwy 3226 (north of the city of DeRidder).

These amazing dogs and cat are ready to inspire love and companionship at Petsmart in Àlexandria, Louisiana tomorrow from 10 to 3 p.m.

HSWL adoption fee is $150 for dogs/puppies, and $125 for cats, covering spay/neuter, vaccinations, heartworm preventative, unlocking a brighter future.

NO pre-adoptions by phone, email, or facebook messenger. You must meet us at the PetSmart in Alexandria, Louisiana to experience the joy.

This is a very difficult post to write as a few things are about to change for HSWL.

In effect starting now, we are not able to take in any animals right now due to low funds in the bank. There are going to be lots of pi**ed off people right now and we are sorry. Our veterinarian bill each month is our biggest expense right now. We have dogs that we've had for
months not getting adopted. Our Garage sale is not doing well and needs to be open more to generate more money, and YES, we know we need to do more fundraising. It's finding volunteers to run a fundraiser is our main problem.

Also, adoption fees are going up beginning May 1st. New adoption fee will go from $150 to $200.

If you can donate money, which is what is needed now, that would be super great.
