MISSING IN ANSONIA
💰A REWARD IS BEING OFFERED FOR THE SAFE RETURN OF THIS PUP No questions asked💰

🚨 Hi My name is Jeanie and I am the animal control officer in Ansonia. On 9/22 I adopted a dog out to a family who came highly recommended . Vet checked no prior problems with their last dog. The dog escaped in a hole in the fence. Dog Gone Rescue came out immediately and haven't given up !! They posted several posters and have diligently searched the area over and over . The people on the hilltop are all helping by setting up feeding stations and cameras. Sami came to me almost dead. He weighed three pounds. We got him up to 6 pounds . But he needs to gain weight . He needs medication and special food. If you have found him I'm sure you love him. But he needs medical attention. He is only two and we want him to live a long healthy life . Please help him. If you have him reach out. No questions .

This cute pup managed to slip out a hole in the fence. He is brand new to the area and is very skittish. We ask that you please do not chase him at all as he is a runner. We need him to stay in the area. Please call the number on the flyer immediately with any sightings

🥁🥁Best news of the day - SMITHIE IS ADOPTED!! 🥁🥁
And he has a mom that is home with him most of the day and no one to have to share his food with. We are humbled by the kindness of so many that shared, asked about him, and offered to drive from across the states to get him. Thank you all!

Smithie is losing hope. Every day, this sweet 1-year-old chocolate doodle waits and watches as people pass his kennel. Once upon a time, he believed—his wagging tail and bright eyes said, "Could you be my family?" But time and time again, they just walked by.

But the days turned to weeks. He watched as others left with new collars, new leash, and a new life. And Smithie? He was left behind, over and over again. Now, he doesn’t even bother to lift his head when visitors pass. He knows the truth—they’re not here for him. No one is.

But we know better. Somewhere out there, Smithie’s family is waiting—they just haven’t found him yet. Please, if you can open your heart and home to Smithie, don’t let him wait any longer. And if you can’t adopt, share his story far and wide. Every share brings him closer to the happy ending he so deserves.
