I’ve always stayed ahead of this and do full blood panels yearly to test all of my dogs.

The Disappearing Doberman Project is still enrolling dogs for our study! One of the main diseases we are researching is Hepatitis, or liver disease, in the Doberman Pinscher. Hepatitis affects up to twenty percent of Dobermans during their lifetime, but can often be managed through diet and medications if caught early on in the disease process. Please ignore the high WBC (well don’t ignore it but know I’m working with the vet to figure it out) but a full blood panel shows many things two of those being healthy kidney and liver function! I try to get these ran yearly from 2yo on but my vet and I sometimes forget.
