🐾 Why Puppies Should Start Grooming Young

Puppies don’t automatically know that baths, brushing, nail trims, dryers, and clippers are safe. These are all new experiences!

Starting grooming at a young age helps your puppy learn that grooming is a normal part of life, rather than something scary.

A puppy’s early grooming experiences can help them:

🐾 Become comfortable being touched on their paws, ears, face, and body
🐾 Get used to brushing and combing
🐾 Learn to tolerate nail trims
🐾 Become familiar with the sound and feel of clippers and dryers
🐾 Build confidence around the grooming table
🐾 Make future grooming appointments less stressful
🐾 Make it easier for the groomer to safely care for them as they grow

The goal isn’t to rush a puppy through a full haircut. It’s about slowly introducing them to grooming in a positive, patient way and helping them build confidence.
