Who?
You!
What?
Broilers (aka meat chickens) arrived three weeks ago.
I’ll be selling these birds finished (just like you would find in the grocery store) including any cut from whole bird, only breast, only wings etc. 100% customizable. Limited supply.
When?
I will be reaching out to people who are always asking. If you want to make sure you are on my list of people to reach out to send me a DM (aka reach out to me).
Broilers will be ready to pick up July 2 (just in time for fried chicken on July 4th). There will be one more batch ready early Fall 2020
Eggs will become readily available in 6-7 months
Where?
These chickens arrived via the mail Tuesday May 5th. They were kept in a brooder in my shed at my house for the first two weeks. They are now on my friends pasture where they will spend the next 4 weeks on pasture with plenty of clean water, feed, and all the bugs and fresh grass they could manage (chickens love grass btw) and most importantly all the sunshine and fresh air. Housed in the daily moved predator protection coops.
Why?
The reason I got into raising meat chickens was because I wanted a vocation that involved producing the highest quality product that would deeply nourish the humans who consumed it.
As I strive to live a healthy life I also want to consume things that had a natural healthy life. Humans make more surface area contact with the outside world through their food than they do with their skin. If you were to spread the surface area of your intestines out it would cover half a tennis court.
As my understanding of what makes people as healthy as possible I learned that in places of the world where little meat was consumed tended to be the healthiest so I’ve adopted “meat is a treat” policy.
“Meat as a treat” just means that my hope is that these chickens are used as for a celebration type experiences (birthdays, holidays, achievements) including reasonable zero waste when appropriate.
How?
How much? (prices)
How do I....
Any questions just shoot me a DM
How long can you freeze? 6 months still fresh.
