Couch to 5K: Day One, Done!
Taru and I kicked off our Couch to 5K journey at Veterans Park. He had an amazing time!

The tripod? Did not.
(We’ll pour one out later for its brave, wobbly service.)

We may not have footage, but the run was still a big win. Taru stayed focused, trotted like a champ, and when we stopped to chat with someone about training, he rested calmly.

That kind of chill doesn’t happen by accident, especially with a dog like Taru! Active enrichment like this isn’t just good exercise, it helps dogs build focus, confidence, and the ability to just hang out in the world without stress.

Thinking about ways to burn energy and build better behavior? I’d love to help.

Happy Visits Make Happy Vets!

Karma and I stopped by PetVet365 Cincinnati/Colerain today for a quick “happy visit”—and he crushed it. He headed right to the door, calmly passed other dogs, and climbed into the vet’s lap like he owned the place, because my little princeling always thinks he owns the place!

He even got to play some fetch with Dr. Marino and then—because he’s Karma—he helped himself to every single toy in the room and made himself a little hoard on the mat. 😂

If your pup is a little nervous about the vet (or if you just want to set them up for long-term success), I highly recommend taking advantage of happy visits like the ones PetVet365 offers. These short, low-pressure drop-ins let your dog:
✅ Get used to the smells and sounds
✅ Meet friendly staff
✅ Learn that vet visits don’t always mean needles or exams

A little preparation now = a lot less stress later—for both of you.
Want help making vet visits less scary? I’d love to support you and your pup.

Let’s Talk Nap Spots!
This week Karma reminded us that rest is a skill, too—but he’s been practicing for a long time. From vet offices to car corners, from beanbags to laps, he’s got the art of the nap down.

Now it’s your turn: Drop a photo in the comments of your dog’s favorite napping spot.

Weird angles, cozy corners, and hilarious flops all welcome!
Let’s fill this thread with sleepy pups and weekend vibes.

From Chill to Chase Mode!

Earlier this week, I shared a phot of Karma relaxing before at a busy event. This? This is what happens when a dog knows how to chill… and when it’s time to turn it on.
Here he is at his FETCH trial—focused, flying, and loving every second of it.
We train for calm and confidence. For relaxation and drive.
Because life with your dog should feel both joyful and connected—whether you're resting in the shade or racing across a field.
Want this kind of partnership with your dog? I’d love to help: https://clickthis.dog/contact

Hey there, dog people!
I’m Tiffany Hubert—the trainer, behavior nerd, and friendly face behind Click This! Dog Training.

If your dog is reactive, fearful, wildly enthusiastic, or just a little too clever for their own good, you’re in the right place.

I use science-based, force-free methods to help real people build joyful, practical partnerships with their dogs. That means empathy, smart strategy, and a lot of celebrating the small stuff.

Click This! specializes in reactivity, fear-based challenges, puppies, and the everyday chaos of life with dogs. No gimmicks. No judgment. Just tools that work—and support that meets you where you are.

You’ll see training tips, client stories, and plenty of behind-the-scenes chaos from my own dogs, Karma and Taru. They keep me humble, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Follow along if you’re ready for training that actually fits real life.
We’re in this together.

Living with a reactive dog can be challenging, but it does not mean you don’t have a wonderful dog!

I love this post. I too have a fluffy, Finnish Lapphund and he is a reactive dog. Or... a recovering reactive dog. Many people that meet him now a days don't believe me when I tell them he is reactive, but I have lived it. The stress and embarrassment of a reactive dog. And continued life with a dog that I manage in stressful situations.

Despite this past he competes in dog sports, goes on hikes, takes a ton of classes and most importantly has a wonderful life with US!

Our dog walker Amy said this extremely profound statement mid conversation and I just had to share it.

"A dog doesn't need to react to nothing to be a great dog."

"Reactive dog" as a label has such negative connotations now. It assumes a dog is doing something wrong by expressing their feelings and the guardian of the dog is doing something wrong by allowing the dog to express their feelings.

I've heard of dog professionals getting slated because "how on earth can they call themselves a dog trainer when their dog is reactive?".

The thing is, not all reactivity can be completely alleviated. That's the truth of it. It can be managed, it can be lessened, it can be lifted significantly. But reactivity is generally high emotion and unless you're just concentrating on suppression, you aren't going to completely shift it 100% of the time. You're just not.

You can't make an emotional being unemotional, however hard you try.

It doesn't make the dog any "less" of a great dog to have struggles. We are more perfectionistic with our dogs than we are with ourselves.

How many of you scream/jump/yell for help when you see a spider? How many of you actually seek help for that problem?

Paws for thought 🐾 💜
