Rankin Brooks Chief SH

Chief earned his first Master pass this previous weekend at the Yankee Waterfowler’s Hunting Retriever Club hunt test in Woodstock, CT.

This dude has been on a roll this summer, making ground as a two year old flying through senior tests earning his Senior title and now onto making progress towards his Master Hunter title.

Chief is a product of out Rankin Brooks Jacketed Peacemaker MH x Rankin Brooks One Too Many MH litter.

This is a repeat breeding. I personally trained and handled two from the previous litter of four, and they were phenomenal dogs. They have the looks, grit, and the go.

Barrett is as powerhouse of a retriever successful in both the show ring and field trials. Barrett has derby points and Qualifying placements in very competitive fields. Exceptional marking dog and competitive in the AA stakes. Great disposition and friendly demeanor.

Poppy is a Master Hunter and a phenomenal hunting dog. She has multiple littermates with derby points, hunt test titles, open/Am placements and QAA in all breed trials. She is out of my Long Ponds Tight Knit Henley MH27, the top producing dam of Master Hunter and HRCH titled offspring in breed history.

Lake Champlain Retriever Club Double Senior AKC Hunt Test. Cabot, Vermont. Thank you to the judges, landowners, and the workers for making this event possible.

Our dogs showed up this weekend for a double Senior test at the Penobscot Hunting Retriever Club hunt AKC test in Pittsfield Maine. Thank you to the club members, judges, and the workers, for working the event making this weekends test possible.

We are looking forward to this litter of Chesapeakes this fall!

Poppy was bred to Barrett this week and we are expecting puppies September 5th.

We are Looking forward to these two Chesapeake breedings this fall.

These are both great outcrosses with phenomenal field performance pedigrees along bringing excellent confirmation back into the mix.

CH Barret QA2 x Poppy MH

Chief x Illy (pending OFA Hip and Elbow results)

Barrett x Poppy is a repeat breeding. The first litter was small but I liked everything it threw. I personally trained one as a gun dog and one of the female puppies has derby points mater passes and QAA placements. These puppies will have the looks and the go.

Chief x Illy both very talented young dogs with tons of potential. This breeding is pending OFA hip/elbow results. They both have everything we look for in a hard charging capable hunting and competitive dogs. Both very strong in and around the water and great attitude in the yard. They both have happy go lucky goof ball temperaments and will progress greatly in hunt tests this summer. This is a very nice pedigree with very strong proven producing bitch lines.
