What you’re about to witness today, is part of a livestock exhibition that we are proud to say started right here in Iowa. An event so powerful, that kids all over our great state work hours in the barn every day, with the hope that they might get that invitation to compete. One of the only events with our livestock youth being at the center of it all. An event where a group of volunteers came together from counties across the state, to give our youth another way to take pride in their hard work— to pull businesses together for a common cause of doing what’s best for our area youth. An event that all money donated goes right back into the show, and right back to those who have earned the right to be called a champion. This is what happens when a group of like minded individuals volunteer hundreds of hours to the same common goal. This is what late barn nights, and early farm sunrises brings you to. This is it. Your time is now. Step up to the plate and show everyone what you’ve got… this is your Iowa District Show, and this is one of the best days of summer. WELCOME TO THE BEST IN THE WEST.

Good Morning!!! The temperatures have dropped which is wonderful for today, however with the drop of temperature came 2.3” of rain on the fairgrounds. Crawford County has plenty of rock throughout the area, but please be mindful of the fairgrounds as you begin to move in today. The grassy areas do have some standing water, and under the trees is awfully wet. Please use your best judgement when parking trailers. Thanks everyone, now let’s have a showdown!
