TOWN OF LIVINGSTON – FIRST CAT TRAP, SPAY & NEUTER DAY
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
For the first time, the Town of Livingston will host a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) event to help manage our community cat population. This is a proven, humane approach that reduces strays over time, improves public health, and creates a healthier environment for both animals and residents.
Here’s how it works:
• Trap Pickup: September 8–13, 8AM, 4:30PM at the Livingston Parish Animal Shelter, 13525 Florida Blvd, Livingston, LA 70754. Must bring your valid ID to register.
• Trap Night: Set traps the evening of September 14.
• Drop Off: Bring cats in traps back to the shelter by 9AM, September 15.
• Pick Up & Release: You’ll be contacted on the 15th after surgeries to pick up cats with your trap, release them back where they were captured, then return the trap to the shelter.
Important Note: This program is for stray and community cats only. It is not for owned pets.
Requirements:
• Must be 18 or older
• Must be a Livingston Parish resident

This is our first TNR event, beginning right in the Town of Livingston. Once we get our feet under us, the program will branch out parish wide so every community can benefit. Every cat spayed or neutered means fewer strays, healthier neighborhoods, and a stronger Livingston Parish.
