Today we recognize Kyndra Hearod. She is one of our Jasper County Animal Control Officers. Kyndra was presented with the Above and Beyond the Call of Duty award by Tori Nuest, Director/Officer Jasper County Animal Control. Kyndra Hearod protected a dog from a double dog mauling and saved the dog and kept citizens safe during an emergency call out. This is not the first time for Kyndra’s quick thinking. Officers at the Shelter in Jasper County Indiana are faced with dangerous animal situations on a regular basis. The danger is real. Our Officers are trained to detect the severity of a situation and act accordingly. Thank you Kyndra for your professionalism and service to our County. 🇺🇸🐾🐾 ❤️ continued.

PSA:
Landlords are responsible for their tenants. If your tenants have animals and you do not allow them, it will not be the Shelter or Rescues Responsibility to remove those animals. Police your rentals by doing monthly checks and manage those tenants accordingly. If a mass of animals from a tenant or landlord is released into the population you will be held personally liable for neglect and abuse. It is wise for a landlord to include verbage in their leases to the affect of how many animals are allowed and if none are the signature of their tenant next to that restriction to use in a court of law. Again. Your property is up to you to manage. The shelter or rescues will not be taking animals from tenants that break those rules. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this important message.

This sweet 3 year old Shepherd/Husky Mix is looking for his forever home. He is currently located in Jasper County Indiana and his Foster Family states he would make a great addition to a family because he is so loving and cuddly. He gets along with other dogs, cats and children. He is still learning so his new family will have to work with this love bug and teach him more manners. If your loving home has room for this sweet baby please call Leda 219-947-5606

🥔🥔🥔AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION🥔🥔🥔
Meet Tator!! He is a 40lb 5-month-old Irish wolfhound mix. Tator is a very happy, sweet fella. He would do well in a home with other dogs and no cats. He is a little excitable and jumpy, but with some training that can be fixed. If you are looking for a pup that will give you hours of love and laughter Tator is the dog for you. If you are interested in Tator please fill out the application and we will call to set up an appointment.
