DeMarcus is searching for a family who understands that behind all of his goofy chaos is just a giant baby wanting to love and be loved.

At just 1 year old and around 60lbs, this handsome Doberman is everything you’d expect from a young Doberman…

intelligent, energetic, clingy ( emphasis on the clingy) dramatic, and always involved in whatever you’re doing.
He’s a textbook Doberman.

Dobermans are known for being extremely people-oriented, high-energy dogs that thrive on activity, structure, and companionship.

DeMarcus is VERY dog friendly and absolutely thrives with another playful large dog in the home.
He loves to wrestle, run, play chase, and can sometimes push buttons because he gets so excited, so he needs a tolerant dog companion who enjoys roughhousing but can also appropriately correct him when needed.

He is friendly with dogs, cats, and kids
He is currently in a foster home w multiple dogs, and cats and is phenomenal
— but due to his size, energy, and complete lack of body awareness, no tiny children please because he absolutely will bulldoze them by accident.

He is still very much a puppy and acts like one. He gets excited easily, can be hyper indoors initially, and will cry in his kennel because he wants to be near his people constantly.
He is doing better with kennel training and is learning to settle

He is the definition of a Velcro dog — your shadow in dog form.
If you want personal space… DeMarcus disagrees. No thank you!

Because of this, he needs:
• A fenced yard
• Another large playful dog
• An active adopter
• A homeowner
• breed experience is a MUST
• Continued training, consistency, patience, and structure

But if you put the time into him, he is going to make someone an INCREDIBLE dog.
He is affectionate, social, silly, eager to learn and please, and truly just wants to be included in life.

He would love an adventurous family who enjoys walks, outings, training, playing outside, and then crashing on the couch together afterward.

He is not a dog who wants to be left alone all day with nothing to do — he wants to LIVE life with his people.

We genuinely cannot believe we’re making this post…

We have SO many amazing puppies still looking for their forever families.

Every single one of these pups is loved beyond measure in their foster homes.
They’re spoiled, snuggled, played with, and treated like family every single day.
But as much as we adore them, they deserve families of their very own.

Cranberry is somehow the last puppy left from our Berry Litter and she’s already 5 months old. How is that even possible?

Ravioli and Fettuccini are the final two pups from our Pasta Litter at 3 months old and are still patiently waiting for someone to choose them.

Culver’s, Virginia, and Bojangles came to us from a poodle breeder surrender in North Carolina

Their dad, Marley, is also still looking for a home of his own.

This sweet family has been through so much, and we’d love nothing more than to see each of them find the happy endings they deserve.

…And then there’s our Dinosaur Litter…

Honestly, this one hurts. Bad.

These puppies have been with us since they were only a few weeks old.
They came to us w momma Saurus, who nursed and nurtured them until they were ready to fly the nest!

We’ve watched them grow, learn, play, and develop into incredible little dogs. ( thank you to their wonderful foster momma )

Yet somehow, not a single dinosaur has found their forever family:(

Not one.😞

And we can’t forget Radar.

Radar is blind and deaf, but don’t tell him that. This happy puppy doesn’t let anything slow him down.
He navigates the world with confidence, loves his people fiercely, and is just waiting for someone willing to see how incredible he truly is.

We know their people are out there somewhere. Maybe they just haven’t seen them yet.

I am tired.
Not the kind of tired that a good night’s sleep fixes. ( cuz what’s that! )

I am tired in my bones.
Mentally. Physically. Emotionally.

I am tired of scrolling through rehoming posts.
Tired of seeing puppies being given away because someone “didn’t know” their dog was pregnant.

Tired of seeing accidental litters.
Tired of owner surrender requests.
Tired of seeing dogs dumped at shelters.
Tired of seeing healthy, loving dogs euthanized simply because there isn’t enough space for them.
Tired of seeing puppies grow up behind kennel doors.
Tired of watching rescues, shelters, and animal control facilities drown while people continue to act like spaying and neutering is optional.

There is no sugarcoating it anymore.
We are in an overpopulation crisis.
And every single day, animals pay the price for human irresponsibility.

Every day there are shelter dogs on euthanasia lists.
And not enough foster homes to help.

Every day there are rescue pleas flooding our inboxes and social media.
Every day there are dogs running out of time.

And still people find excuses.
“I wanted my kids to experience a litter.”

“I was going to fix them eventually.”

“It only happened once.”

“It was an accident.”

“As a man I couldn’t neuter my dog”

The dogs don’t care about your excuse.
The shelter doesn’t care about your excuse.

The dog that dies because there wasn’t a kennel available doesn’t care about your excuse.
At some point we have to stop pretending this is a difference of opinion.

It’s not.

It’s a welfare issue.
It’s arrogance.
It’s shallow.

Our over population crisis is a life and death issue.

Our rescue LITERALLY created a spay and neuter assistance program to help remove barriers.

Every adoption through us helps fund it.

A portion of our adoption fees goes into a give back fund specifically to help alter community pets.

When we see someone struggling with a litter, we offer help.
When we see rehoming posts, we offer help.
When we see accidental puppies, we offer to spay and neuter the parents.
At no cost to them.
NO COST = FREE

We pay for it!!

Do you know how many people have accepted?
ONE.
YUP.
One person.
That’s it.

One.
That hurts.

Because while us rescues are scraping together donations, fundraising, transporting dogs across state lines, paying medical bills, fostering, networking, cleaning kennels, bottle feeding babies, and begging for adopters and Foster’s…

The solution to preventing countless future litters is sitting right there.
Free. Spay. And. Neuter.
And people still say no.

Meanwhile, there are always more dogs.

Always.
More dogs needing rescue.
More dogs needing fosters.
More dogs needing medical care.
More dogs being abandoned.
More dogs ending up in shelters.
More dogs running out of time.
More dogs on euthanasia list.
More dogs dying.
More dogs suffering. Literally.

It’s a revolving door that never stops spinning.

Rescue.
Medical care.
Rehabilitation.
Adoption.
Repeat.

Over and over and…. over again.

Sometimes it feels impossible to get ahead because the problem keeps growing faster than we can fix it.

So yes, I’m frustrated.

Yes, I’m angry.
And yes, my heart is broken.

Because when you’ve looked at enough euthanasia lists, when you’ve answered enough desperate rescue pleas, when you’ve held enough animals that nobody came for, it’s impossible not to be.

If you want to help, spay and neuter your pets.
Microchip them.
Keep them contained and supervised.

Foster.
Adopt.
Donate.
Share rescue posts.
Support your local shelters and rescues.
Do something.

Because while people argue about whether spaying and neutering is necessary, animals are DYING.

And we are all tired of watching it happen.

This girl has me completely wrapped around her giant paw. 😩❤️

The day her foot is healed and she finds her forever family is going to absolutely wreck me.

Whoever adopts Sequoia is winning the lottery, because this Great Dane is the entire package.

She’s sweet, loyal, hilarious, and somehow manages to be both a majestic gentle giant and the biggest goober I’ve ever fostered.

She’s my shadow. If I move, she moves. If I sit down, she’s suddenly 150 pounds of “lap dog.” If I go to the bathroom alone, it’s apparently a personal offense.

She fits perfectly with every dog that comes through our doors, adores the cats, loves the kittens, and is unbelievably gentle with baby puppies. She’s the kind of dog that makes you wonder how something so enormous can be so careful and loving.

Every day I foster her, I fall a little more in love with her goofy personality, her giant smooshy face, and her ability to make me laugh when I need it most.

I honestly don’t know how I got so lucky to foster this giant ass dog. 🖤

But I do know one thing…

The family that eventually gets to call Sequoia theirs is going to be the luckiest family in the world.😩🩶

We truly don’t know where to begin.

The last few days have been some of the most heartbreaking, terrifying and stressful days we’ve experienced in rescue.

Many of you know MommaSaurus recently underwent her spay surgery and initially seemed to be recovering.
Then everything changed.

She became very sick, very quickly.

She stopped eating, developed a high fever, began vomiting, lost weight rapidly, and was clearly fighting for her life.
We rushed her to the emergency veterinarian, hoping for answers.
What we found was something neither of us were prepared for.

MommaSaurus required emergency abdominal surgery.

During surgery, doctors discovered that a portion of her intestines had lost its blood supply and died.
The dark red, black, and purple tissue shown in the photos is dead intestine that could no longer function and was making her critically ill.

To save her life, surgeons had to perform what is called a resection and anastomosis.

This means the dead portion of intestine was surgically removed (resected), and the two healthy ends were carefully sewn back together (anastomosed) in an attempt to restore normal intestinal function.

Her intestines also adhered to her body wall..

Without this procedure, MommaSaurus would not have survived.

Even more frightening, leakage from the damaged intestine had already begun contaminating her abdomen, causing severe inflammation and infection.
She was becoming septic, and time was running out.

The prognosis following surgery was guarded.

There were moments where we genuinely did not know if MommaSaurus would make it through…

But if there’s one thing we’ve learned about this girl, it’s that she’s a fighter.

Despite everything her body has endured, MommaSaurus continues to amaze her veterinary team.
She is eating, drinking, comfortable, going potty normally, and showing us more of her sweet personality every single day.

She still has a long road ahead.

For the next several weeks, MommaSaurus will be recovering with Bre, where she will receive around-the-clock monitoring, medications, incision care, restricted activity, and lots of love as we help her heal from this incredibly invasive surgery.

Unfortunately, this lifesaving emergency came with a massive and completely unexpected veterinary bill.

As a small foster-based rescue, emergencies like this can be financially devastating.

We never want cost to determine whether a dog receives lifesaving care, but the reality is that we urgently need help covering the expenses associated with MommaSaurus’s hospitalization, diagnostics, surgery, medications, and follow-up care.

Right now, our focus is on helping MommaSaurus continue healing and getting her back to the happy, healthy life she deserves..

The Land Before Time called… apparently our little dinosaurs are still waiting for their families.

And honestly? We’re confused.

These puppies have been looking for homes since they were 8 weeks old and somehow have received almost no adoption interest.

Meanwhile, they’re over here being adorable, social, loving, hilarious little creatures who are more than ready to leave the prehistoric era and find families of their own.

At 12 weeks old, our Dino Nuggets are officially accepting applications from humans who are interested in adding a tiny velociraptor to their household.

They spend their days playing, exploring, causing mild chaos, collecting cuddles, and perfecting the art of stealing hearts.
They are dog friendly, cat friendly, kid friendly, goat and chicken friendly!!
and fully prepared to become someone’s best friend.

We know there has to be a family out there looking for a hiking buddy, couch companion, adventure partner, or loyal sidekick.

We refuse to believe that every dinosaur-loving household is already full.

So where are our Littlefoots, Ceras, Ducky, Petrie, Chompers, Tippy , and Spike fans at?

These babies deserve homes of their own. They’ve waited patiently while other puppies have come and gone, and we’d love nothing more than to see each of them finally pack their bags and head off on their own Great Valley adventure.
