I'd like to thank every one of you who puts your trust in me to care for your babies. I couldn't do what I do if you didn't. Your dogs truly become one of mine. Every day, I get to work with dogs and they have what this world needs a little more of and that's unconditional love.

We had a hot, but great day. The last of the Bella's to join us arrived this morning with Charlie. I don't think I've seen Bella so excited to be here. She was dragging me and Charlie into the kennel. The settled in quickly. I have to say, hearing the news of losing Rosie today sure brought back memories of all of my friends that have left us. Max use to come with Charlie and Bella and I tell ya, it's never the same without them once they are gone. But the memories live on.
Bella (the shepherd) had a good day. I find if she is occupied with scent work she does a lot better and doesn't chase her tail as much.
Allison amd Duramax were great today. It doesn't matter how hot it is, Allison is still playing ball amd Duramx will still chase her. lol I did keep it to just a few times everytime we went out in hopes she wouldn't get too overheated. The concrete floor seems to be where everyone wants to sleep tonight. lol
Nina and Deif are wonderful. They fit in so well, it's like they've been here before. Dogs are smart. They never cease to amaze me. They watch and pick up on things so quickly.
Bella (the Catahoula) has come leaps and bounds with me. Her fear aggression is no more. She actually comes up to me on her own. Lynyrd....Lynyrd is secretly my dog. Just don't tell Steve. He guards me better than my own. He loses his mind if another dog plays with me and he doesn't think it's playing or maybe he gets jealous. I can just give him " the look" and he knows exactly to stop.
Sky, Storm, Peach and Romeo had a good day. Romeo is the smallest one out in the kennel and thinks he's 10 foot tall. lol Not afraid of much. Peach screams in excitement when I play ball with Allison. I think she wants to join us. She is something else to watch her chase Sky and Storm. I always get a little worried because those two can play hard and I don't want her getting hurt. But she let's them have it too.

Thanks again for sharing these pups with me. I truly love what I do and I believe the dogs will confirm that. ;-)

We are never promised tomorrow, so love on them while they are here. It's with a heavy heart, I share the news of my friend Rosie crossing the rainbow bridge today. She was suppose to come visit me yesterday for a spa day. Earlier this week, I received a text that she needed to cancel the appointment that Rosie had done something and she was extremely lame. My first thought was Lyme disease because it seems to be hitting hard. So, I texted to check on her yesterday instead. Broken front leg and possible sarcoma. :-( Today she was set free from her pain as the surgery to put a pin in her leg wasn't a guarantee if the sarcoma became rampant. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Jack and Laura. Rosie had the sweetest soul. She was one of special ones that remind me why I do what I do. She didn't mind the showers, and she loved being towel dried with a little massage. I had to towel dry her a little more than most because Rosie did not like the blower to be dried. Thankfully she had a short coat and dried within a short time. I always sat on the floor woth her to clean her ears and trim her nails. She learned to love her manicures as she often curled up between my legs. I never knew I wouldn't get to see her again. 😢 You will be missed. Say a prayer for the family and give your babies an extra kiss tonight. Fly high Rosie!

Eddie had a spa day this morning. He did a good job today. Bella, Bella and Lynyrd joined us this afternoon. I'd have pictures if my phone would of charged for me. :-( I will have 3 Bella's here this weekend when another one joins us in the morning, along with Charlie. We had a great day. It was a little warm this afternoon but, we just take breaks and keep rotations in the play yard going. It's a packed weekend I'll have 14 dogs until Eddie goes home. Should be a great weekend. Hopefully it doesn't get too hot.

Some new friends joined us in the kennel. Dief and Nina are here for their first stay. They were nervous to see their family leave but quickly settled in. As almost if they knew the routine. They have been wonderful to have. Allison and Duramax are doing great! Allison loves playing ball all day. Duramax just chases her. Sky, Storm, Peach and Romeo are entertaining. To watch little Peach chase the big dogs is comical. At night I do seperate the little ones so everyone can try to get some rest. Eddie is also here for a visit. He's been my house guest but travels out to the shop with me because if I'm not in sight he will bark until he sees me. I do have to use a slip leash with him. The first time I left him out after mom and dad left, he went on adventure to find them. He may do great without a leash at home, but this is a new place with lots of big dogs barking to scare him. He made it half way around the dogs play yard before I was able to catch him. So for safety, I leash him. He doesn't seem to mind. More friends will be joining us tomorrow and Friday. Thanks to Lily and Luna for stopping in for a spa day this week.

What a week! I'd like to thank Sahsa, Bodhi, Buddy, Ruby, Marshall, Sebastian, and Cedar for stopping in for a spa day this week. I also made a visit to trim Radar's nails and we always play a little fetch while I'm there. In the kennel Teddy, Sky, Storm, Peach, Romeo, Allison and Duramax joined me. Lucy and Mia are still my little house guest but they love the freedom of the play yard so I always bring them out with me. Allison and Duramax was not excited to be here but they quickly settled in once the kennel calmed down. They remembered the routine. Storm, Sky, Peach and Romeo settled in good. Peach wasn't excited to be here at first but she loves going out in the play yard. Teddy is at home away from home. He's so easy going, not too much bothers him. I attempted to take Yankee to the vet this week for her check up and vaccinations. I'll just say, it didn't happen and I'm a little still a little dumbfounded by it all. She wasn't gone from me for 5 minutes before they brought her right back to me and refused to see her unless I medicated her. They filled a prescription and I have to reschedule her appointment. I will tell you, it won't be back there with that place. Never once have I heard her growl. I am certain was just scared and needed a minute or a little reassurance. Safety is first I guess. It was their call however, being someone who also works with dogs daily I think it all could of been handled differently. I'll just leave it at that and I will take her somewhere else. She been a great dog, and I have had zero issues with her. Her training is coming along slow but, I also can't always give her the one on one she needs when I'm busy with everything that needs attention right now. We will get there. She is a great dog, full of energy, and a little older and been on her own. So setting boundaries and manners have been priority. The rest will fall into place. Enjoy the pictures and as always thank you for sharing your pups with me.

What a busy weekend but we made it to Monday. Friday night we lost power. It was miserable without fans in the kennel, but we survived. Thankfully I always have extra water stored. We only had to go without for about 5 hours before it came back on. Saturday I groomed Mack, Theo, Finley and Goose. Sunday most of my friends went home and Mia and Lucy arrived. Today Mylee, Baylee and Charlie went home. Chaco and Hoppi stopped in for a spa day. We were a little warm in the shop this morning but we got it done. I have lots of pictures. I apologize for lack of updates. I was running at my limit this weekend and I'd rather make sure dogs are all OK and update later. I'm impressed how everyone did this weekend. After hour calls/ messages to schedule grooming or checks in on your dog will be answered during business hours if possible. I'm burning at both ends right now just to keep up. Please be patient with me. My priority is always the dogs I'm my care. Just know if I'm not calling/ messaging you, we are all ok. ;-)

Another Full Kennel once Finley and Theo join us tomorrow morning, I have 4 grooms scheduled this weekend all from boarders staying! Thank you!! A few new guest are here. Rico and Mocha arrived this evening. They are still really nervous, but we made friends. I think they will settle in just fine once they get use to the noises and surroundings. Goose and Mac arrived yesterday. Goose is not new to me as I groom him however this is Mac's first time really getting to know me. Both of them have settled in quickly. Mack and Oliver arrived yesterday also. They know the routine and are doing great. Charlie arrived today. He was excited to come play, sad to see mom leave but, once she was out of sight he was ready to play again. Mylee and Baylee arrived yesterday too. Baylee was excited to be here. She showed up ready to work and is doing a good job. Mylee not so much. She does great here but I'm sure would rather be at home or in my daughter's bed. lol

I do have some new updates coming hopefully to make scheduling boarding and grooming appointments easier. I have a new app I'm using for scheduling. However, I'm a pen and paper girl and setting this all up will take me some time. Setting up grooming appointments will probably be faster since I'm not already booked so far out like I am for boarding. I did a test run with Lucy today for her next grooming appointment, as she was here for a spa day. Eventually, you will be able to book through the app, check kennel availability amd grooming availability, update vaccination records, receive invoices, and receive notifications the day prior to your visit. You may still always message me, call or text as well and I can book for you if your not tech savy like me. lol I am hoping this will alleviate everyone having to wait on me for a response to their messages. If I'm out with the dogs, I wait until I come in to look at my schedule. My biggest fear is I will overbook if I don'ttake the time. I'm nervous to use this new app for that reason however, I think it will be much better once I'm use to it. It's kinda like a personal assistant for me. lol I will let you know even I have most of it updated and ready to use.

Thank you Maverick, Queeny and Lucy for stopping in for a spa day this week and to all of you for trusting me with your pups.

Thanks for coming to visit today Kahuna. You left half of you here. It only took me about 15 minutes to get him in the shower but after that we were fine. The pups in the kennel have all cleared out. We had a great weekend. Toby and Stella are still in the house with me until tomorrow. I'm not sure what I'll do without my snuggle pups.

It's not always crazy here. Besides Athena inside whinning because she can't see me, it's pretty quiet. I must of worn them out this morning.

Not sure how this week flew by so fast. Yankee is doing great. I have her first vet visit scheduled. She is good with other dogs, she is learning to kennel in her crate, but she'd rather be in one of the kennels where she has a little more freedom. Remo joined us this week and left this afternoon. I have Doc, Marley, Andy, Lia, Mdog, Jinx, Frankie, Oliver and Cash out in the kennel. In the house I still have Stella and Toby hanging out with me. Everyone has settled in good. Mdog doesn't like having his doggy door blocked but he is dealing with it. This old guy is having a hard time.getting around so to make it easier on him, I walk him around so he doesn't have that step in and out. Its Lia's first time here and this sweet girl took right to me. Andy has been here before and I think he remembered the routine. More friends join us tomorrow. 🙃

Currently without power for the night for scheduled maintenance. Please no storms, because the fans and radio is off and I have a few that do not like the thunder. Coco left us, but I have Stella, Toby and Koda in the house with me. All 3 get along great and sharing my bed. Toby can be found between my feet most of the time. Koda and Stella shsre my lap if i sit down. Willie is doing great! Bella and Lynyrd both has had a great day after a little training session this morning. Man what a difference. Brian and Copper are wonderful. Both picked up a scent today. No idea what they were smelling. lol Tails and noses went up. Copper hangs pretty close to me. Rosie is hanging in there. She did something to her foot. I believe it's her toe. At first I thought maybe she got stung by a bee, now I'm not certain. She will let me hold her foot at look at it but I can't touch the toe. I'm hoping it didn't get caught in the fence or doggy door. :-( I've been keeping my eye on her. It's definitely swollen. I worked with Yankee a little bit yesterday on sit and down. She also showed me her playful side. I've been keeping her on my long line but she seems to like the security of being inside and doesn't waste any time wanting to get back inside. Overall, we are all doing good. Just hoping Rosie's toe isn't broken. I wish I knew what happened.

Most of you know where my heart is just though posting what I do here. Almost two years ago I rescued a german shepherd and her litter of puppies. Last night, I recieved a message asking if I could help this dog. Mary Humphrey had humanely trapped her after she has been running the Yankee Springs Campground for weeks, feeding off of picnic tables. I first said no, and reached out to friends on my personal fb page. However, if any of you know me. I can't turn away a dog in need. I reached back out and went to pick up this sweet girl today. She is kid friendly, a lover, thankful, and has a fresh start at life. Today she has had a spa day, treated for fleas and ticks. I also administered bordetella and a 5 way since I board dogs for everyone's protection. She will still see a veterinarian. She is not in contact with other dogs at this time for that reason. She is uncertain still. Lots of new everything. New surroundings, sounds and new people. While she is here, I will teach her basic training commands, her new name, potty train if needed, seek a medical checkup with a veterinarian and have her spayed. I have already had someone reach out and inquire about her. So she may have a forever home but, I will keep everyone updated. I personally would like to thank Mary Humphrey for her service. She does this out of the goodness of her heart and she is good a t rapping dogs that are hard to catch. The shelter is currently full and had no place to take her last night as soon as she was caught. Next, I would like to thank the family who kept an eye on her overnight at their campsite. But most importantly, I would like to thank the kids that helped me name this sweet girl. We decided Yankee was the perfect name. I will post updates of her progress. Thank you all who reached out to me You have nudged me to venture a little further with helping rescue stray animals. I've never personally met you but, your ability to see my passion without personally knowing me has moved me. Thank you Wendi. Sometime in the future, I am hoping to start a non profit and build a rescue/ sanctuary here on the farm so, I can continue to help.

A big shout out to those of you who have venmo donations for her care already. THANK YOU!!

Please welcome Yankee to the farm!
