When you've been through trauma, one of the scariest things is losing trust in the world around you. You're constantly wondering who is beside you, who is approaching you, and most of all, who is coming up behind you. I taught Khaleesi to watch our back. It brings a level of comfort that makes our bond complete, and it’s a comfort we all deserve.

8-26-04 This is my story, The reason I became a trainer comes back to this day, the day I was set in a new direction after this accident.

Afterward, I needed the assistance of a service dog. Link was the second dog I trained as my first service dog Max was stolen from me and never recovered.

Link changed everything for me. He became my best friend and a soul to lean on in some of my toughest moments. He helped me accept my disability and guided me through some of my loneliest times when I felt worthless and helpless. Without him, I don’t believe I could have turned into the dad I am today.

I was granted a gift to help others in my situation who also needed a Furever friend. That is why I started Missing Link Pet Services LLC to make training furever friends affordable, and why I studied and learned so much to help people and their pets to the best of my abilities. Most times, I pass down what was given to me to others without pay.

It’s my way of giving thanks for the second chance at life I was given, and I’ll do my best to make the most of it. I’ll always believe in my heart that I was saved to make a difference it was to save them but most of all my son.

Out with the “old” and in with the “new” Link is retired so we need someone to take his place next for her is to learn to pick things up like Link and Daisy and hand them to me. We still can use Link to show how to do things though.
