I don’t share fundraisers often so you guys know if I do it’s something really amazing that my heart and soul believes is going to be great and help a lot of people….🩷

Why do I make my own fly spray for my animals? 🌱

Because it’s the safest thing for them and all of us.

I don’t know if I’ve ever posted much about the fact that our farm is organic before?

I don’t use pesticide or chemicals and haven’t since we moved here 12 years ago.

Not only is that a choice overall but it’s a necessary choice for me as well. Those are things that I cannot personally be exposed to.

So, what does that mean when you come to the farm?

That means, then when you go to pet one of the animals or give them some feed, you might smell peppermint or lemon lemongrass or other essential oils and you’re not crazy, it’s legitimate!

That also means that you know when your children are touching my animals they’re not touching pesticides. And I think that’s the best part!

(I still will always tell you to make them wash their hands before they eat after touching any animal!)

And, I can’t wait to share more news in the future about some of the plans for the farm next year and organic updates, but for now we need to focus on getting opening weekend underway! 🎉

I am so excited that a good friend of mine is coming to do braids on the farm this weekend!

She is unbelievably talented!!

Would be a super fun thing to do right before homecoming too!

She’s absolutely amazing. She’s even done birthday parties in Dell Rapids before (and can do many more!)

She’s offering discounted rates for this weekend too!!

We have animals, corn, pit, train, rides, fenders, playground, sandbox and more!

Everything is included, even tax, in your $10 admission

No hidden or extra charges or tickets to buy

(If you choose you can buy items from vendors or our farm store, or feed cups for the animals, which are $1)

Little ones 2 and under are free!

When I tell you that I have the most amazing village of people and have met some of the best people through my farm, I am not kidding!

I know the people that I’m talking about know exactly who they are and exactly why I am so thankful for them!🩷

This farm is a special place.

And I don’t just say that because I’m trying to get people to come here or because I am doing some marketing employee, I say it because it’s actually true.

I have seen healing, I have seen joy and play happening in families that need the most.

It has given me something that I can use to give back to the community and people in our community who really need a day on the farm.

And it has taught me how to learn that you can trust and rely on people.

God’s plan is always bigger than our own and reminds me that I’m doing the right things for the right reasons no matter how hard this season of life I am in is.

I cannot wait to open that gate to all of you and just four days and share our family farm with all of you!🩷

Not only are we we farm prepping (opening Saturday!) and keeping beyond busy with “normal” life but, also, we have puppies on the way!!!

Not what the plan was but we are SO excited!

I have always wanted to have puppies so I am over the moon!!

I will keep you all posted! We luckily have a few weeks to a month before they are here so the farm will be completely squared away by then!🤞🏻
