Earl is on the road to recovery after receiving his first heartworm injection yesterday. He will undergo a second injection in 30 days, followed by a third injection the day after the second. We will then conduct a heartworm test, with the hope of receiving a negative result. We are remaining positive and optimistic, trusting that Earl's heart and lungs will continue to function strongly throughout this process and that he will not experience any thromboembolisms (deceased worm or blood clots). We are keeping him calm and comfortable with some meds.

Earl was rescued by Perfect Pet Adoption Center Inc. from living in the slums of Cleveland, Texas. Breanna (and her friend Kenzie) saved Earl, quite literally, along with 15 of his friends. Their rescue is paying for his heartworm treatment, which can be upwards of $2k per dog. Relying soley on donations from the public, their vet bills are over $20k. They desperately need to pay this down in order to continue to help these sweet souls.

Calling all Chihuahuas in the DeLand area - we know we have a lot of Poodle and Pooch alumni out there who may fit this criteria and would love to see one of our former pups star in this show! 🤩

The Athens Theatre is looking for a dog to play Bruiser in Legally Blonde - The Musical this summer!

Time Commitment:
* Weekly rehearsals begin ASAP to help Bruiser bond with the cast
* Starting June 30, daily rehearsals + all techs & performances

* A dedicated crew member will be Bruiser's wrangler each night. Owners welcome backstage too!
* Bonus: We'd love a Bruiser (or stand-in) for a photoshoot on June 11.

Ideal Traits:
* Small breed preferred (Chihuahua, Yorkie, Pomeranian, Papillon, etc.)
* Under 12 lbs (must fit in handbag-style carrier)
* Can be carried or walk to an actor
* Comfortable being held, with music, lights & people
* Barking on cue is a bonus, not a must!
