March 4th I saw a picture (left) of a stray dog that was found and being held temporarily at an area police department, and it literally shattered my heart. I immediately contacted DuPage County Animal Services and asked them to inform me when this dog would be transferred to them so I could come meet him and start the search for a foster. Needless to say I was there sitting outside his kennel later that day, and many days there after. He started to gain weight, his hematoma was treated, and he was thriving. It’s a very state of affairs when a dog thrives in this environment, as thrilled as you are for them it really gives pause to what their life was like prior.

We searched high and low for a foster, one who would be extra patient while nursing him back to health and readily accept his RBF and his sloppy sweet smooches. And then it happened! The perfect foster family! It was love at first sight for them and their dog.

Please help me welcome the newest member of the CTP family...Elvin! All good things from here. More info as he settles in and heals.
