When horses play…

Thought I would share with you all part of a conversation with a friend this morning. Owning horses is a personal journey. Owner and operating my own equestrian facility and small business is also a journey. Both are laiden with triumphs and trials, highs and lows, victories and valleys, heartache and hardship. There is no way to just live and exist in the cushion in between. Oh how is wish I could dwell there endlessly day after day.

But this is the toil of life isn’t it? This is why I do what I do in my office and at my barn. Helping people with the turmultious trials!

A dear friend of almost 20+ and 35+ years in the equine industry gave me some encouragement this morning. She reminded me the difference between a horse person and a person with horses. Thank you friend!

Here was my reply:

I’m a person with a passion for horses and their therapeutic value! I truly love my horses and love being around them. I actually like all the hard physical work - no matter the weather.
I love interacting with them everyday. I’m a better person and life’s a little brighter and God just gets gooder and gooder as He shows me more and more of who He is through these majestic animals! I have more faith and a restored hope. The gospel seems clearer and more relevant than it ever has and God seems more near then ever before. The struggles are real and so is the goodness of God strengthening us for one more small step today!
