Healing Heroes with Horses Healing Heroes with Horses offers multiple therapies along with professional counseling to help treat the wounds caused by trauma.

Utilizing the horse's natural ability to heal, amplified by the well-known healing energy of Reiki. Services to veterans are free of charge. All equine services are donated. All of the people associated with the equine part of our program volunteer their time. We are currently accepting new volunteers at different positions. We raise funds to pay for the extras such as counseling for our clients

with deeper trauma or PTSD. Many find the combination of the two types of therapy helpful on their journey back to wellness.

Hello everyone,

We recently voted to sponsor 100 free meals for veterans at the Deerfield American Legion breakfast. Their usual attendance is around 25–30 people, but we are hoping to draw 100 or more veterans, their families, and members of the surrounding community.

HHH will have an information table set up at the event and will also be holding a 50/50 raffle.

Event Hours: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Volunteer Start Time: 6:00 AM

Breakfast will include:
Pancakes, biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausage, potatoes, coffee, tea, milk, and hot chocolate.

Cost:

Non-Veterans: $9.00

Free for the first 100 Veterans

Because we expect a larger crowd than usual, the Legion will need additional help in the kitchen preparing and serving food.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to assist with this event. If you plan to volunteer, include what time you can arrive and whether you are able to stay for the entire event.
