On Wed Feb 7th it was like any other day so we thought.. However it turned into a race to save Eva a sweet loving mare.. Most know she was in foal and due any day and we were waiting her foal arrival like little kids.. Felicia and myself were out in the barn watching her do what normal mares do when they go into labor, so we sat quietly until Felicia said Mom that's not right.. She was right Eva ended up with a red bag delivery so I broke through and hoped the foal would progress. We called the Vet and had support from our breeder on face time.. The foal wasn't coming so we tried to see if she was stuck if she was not in the dive position, she was not I tried to reposition her a long with Felicia and Austin. The vet arrived and at this point Eva was screaming and down I though we were going to lose both of them The vet said get the trailer and when I tell you we were hooked up and ready to go in 5 mins we were. I always have my trailer free of snow so I can get it quickly for this exact reason.. This and the fact that Felicia got Eva up and on the trailer saved her life.. She had an emergency c section and gave birth to a beautiful filly everything they had wished for except one thing her internal organs had grown outside of her body. She never got into position was half way there and most likely passed earlier in the day.. So hug your brood mares and love your foals because you never know.. I know one thing I am glad Eva is a fighter and she is recovering nicely and should be home next week. Thank you to everyone there supporting in one way or another it really does take a village.

On Wed December 13 Promise kept will be saying goodbye to a very special mare.. She has touched everyone of us in her own way we absolutely are shattered but it's the right time for Gabby.. With this being said the facility will be closed to everyone except workers and family members.. Thank you for understanding.
