This cute girl is now available for adoption! She recently spent a few days at a foster and this is what they had to say:
She’s a great dog, and honestly, she’d pass any “foster report” with flying colors. Her personality blossomed the moment we left the kennels, and it’s huge in the best way. She loves pets and belly rubs, and she’s perfectly content napping all over the place. Around the house she’s independent, exploring, playing with her toys, watching the world through the windows, and she always circles back for affection. She’s just a naturally curious pup.
Out in public, she lights up. She thrives on attention, especially from kids, I’ve never seen her happier than when a child stopped to give her love. She’s a little shy around men at first, but she warms up quickly. With dogs, slow introductions are best. She can come off a bit intense with her bark and raised hackles at first, but it fades fast, then she’s ready to play, or just moves on. She’s more toy-motivated than food-driven, and once she locks onto a toy, it becomes her world. She enjoys walks and watching birds, and while she still needs some leash work, she’s doing really well for where she’s at.
She truly is a fantastic dog, and I know she’ll thrive with a family that can give her the time, patience, and energy she deserves.
Her option fee is being waived but the new owner will be responsible for getting her spayed (if needed) and up to date on vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting her please contact the DLPD AT 846-9585.
