WOW -- what a great 4th anniversary weekend! Thank you for joining the celebration, and for giving all your attention to the cats. Gigi and Cora are worn out. We are extra thankful for that. 😉 Really though, we are so lucky to be part of such an amazing and supportive community!

Today isn’t only St. Patrick’s Day or Luca’s Birthday, it’s also our fourth anniversary. We are so lucky to be part of such an amazing and supportive community. Over the years we have made some very important relationships and have meet some pretty fantastic dogs and a few cats too.

Save the date indeed!

Reginald is not yet ready to go, but is beginning his search for the right family.
He is one special guy and will give back triple the love he is given! Reginald is a 7 year old Cocker Spaniel.
He wants a home where he is with his people most of the time. He LOVES to snuggle! He LOVES to be pet and have his face stroked. He is an attention hog, so he would really prefer to be the only dog. (He’s not dog or cat aggressive, or aggressive at all)
He is very mellow most of the time. Even when he’s being naughty, he’s very subtle about it🤣
If taken out regularly, he never has an accident in the house. He is kennel trained for night.
Reginald did have his health neglected for many years in the puppy mill industry, and no doubt has been shuffled around and likely spent some hard time in the South, so he has a few things going on. He had a severe ear infection, which is still being treated and could be reoccurring. Proper care may keep it at bay once it’s under control.
He has dry eye in his left eye which is being treated. This has improved since intake, however it may be an ongoing expense if it doesn’t totally repair with short term treatment. His skin and coat is very dry, so he will need to continue with high quality food to grow a healthy coat.
He’s currently under treatment for Heartworm, which will be finished before adoption. He NEEDS to have monthly Heartgard preventative.
All of these things are very important for his ongoing health and happiness.
We know there is a very special family out there who is perfect for him.
He would love for you to come meet him. It takes about 3 seconds to fall in love❤️

If you can help please do. HEART is fully funded by the donations of generous people like you. They work tirelessly to save puppy mill dogs who’s lives would otherwise, probably be ended. These dogs want so badly to find a home. I truly believe you can feel the energy change once they know they will not have to return to those gross cages. It’s like an enormous weight is lifted. They will truly make wonderful companions.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Foster Found⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have a pure gentleman named Bubba on our hands with this guy! He gets along with everyone and he is content with relaxing, lovings (ear scratches he loves), and eating.

Characteristics: Bubba is a true, older gentleman who came into the shelter as a stray! Bubba is a loving, lazy boy. He spends most of his days napping or eating, and will sit and give paw for treats - which he takes very gently!

When meeting new people, this gentle giant greets on all fours and will press his head, or body, into you for pets (especially behind the ear scratches).

Bubba will need some work done to help his teeth, but he doesn't let that slow him down!

His perfect home would be where he can nap on the couch all day, spend some time outside, and where treats are plentiful. He would be a great addition to any rotty-loving home!

Rocky is a lover that does great with cats and loves all humans! He has been around all ages of kids.

Tucker is a family oriented dog that lives on 10 acres. He is good with children, but sometimes forgets how big he is when he is playing. He will not stay in the yard as he can easily jump a 4' chain link fence. He lives with a Ragdoll cat and does not mess with her. He does try to run after chickens but they are in a chicken yard so he runs along the fence line. (He could easily jump the fence to get to them but he does not). He is good around our horse and our mini pony. He will try and play with your feet at times when your walking but will stop when you tell him "No". This most often occurs when he has been crated. Notes from evaluator: Tucker is a friendly playful boy! He has been socialized and taught manners and did not jump up. Tucker is independent and does not listen to the wife as well as the husband. The husband came home and Tucker easily jumped the fence to go greet the husband. His big want is to be included with people. Tucker does work for treats. Tucker is being surrendered as she has 2 children with special needs, a full-time job and husband is also gone most of the day. It's just too much even though Tucker is a great dog!
