I'm so grateful that we installed a whole property generator. It came on when high winds went through and we are still operating on it. I'm not sure where the damage is but the generator is still humming along!

It seemed like so much money to spend just waiting for a what if situation but we have relied on it several times already.

Our air, electricity, and everything still runs.

So thankful.

Our shift hours have returned as usual:

7-10 am and 4-6pm (Closed on major holidays)

I am back to work but a little stiff and slow at times. Thanks so much for your patience while I equipped myself with new knees.

I need to extend my biggest thanks to Joy and another heartfelt thank you to my husband, Jon. The kennel would not have operated without them. I'm surrounded by good people here and so are your pets

I thought I would pop an update out here regarding the return of our morning hours.

I am expecting to be released to return on June 8th. I have an upcoming Dr's appointment prior to the 8th. I will confirm this at that time.

We have scheduled as usual starting the 8th so I'm sure this will happen :)

I'm limping and slower than usual but I'm getting there.

Thanks so much for your help while I had knee replacement surgery. Two new knees in 13 months. I'm glad it's almost over.

Announcing a temporary change to business hours beginning March 16, 2026:

After several injuries last holiday season, I once again need a knee replacement. My meniscus is tore and out of place, I have a fracture in that area. I also have a baker's cyst that has developed as well as something odd with my popliteal area. A life of hard usage also has my knee operating bone on bone. There is no way to avoid surgery :(

My surgery is scheduled for March 16th. Working with large exuberant dogs has inherent risks!

In order to keep the kennel operating while I heal, it is necessary to stop the 7-10 am shift from Monday through Friday. Both shifts will remain available on the weekends.

This will continue for a period of at least 8 weeks and possibly 12. It depends on my recovery and ability to withstand the risks that come with this type of business. I will keep you posted about any changes in hours.

My only other option is to physically close the kennel for 2 or 3 months. I assume you won't mind a temporary change in hours in exchange for the continued option to board :) Thank you in advance.

Conditions are dangerous after heavy snow fall. Travel is not advised in our county as of now. The county plow has been down Lannon Hill and my husband has been moving snow here for a long time already. It's deep and the wind is still moving it around.

Update us on your travel plans if need be. Be safe.

Lord, please watch over the stray dogs trying to survive this extreme winter weather. They have no doors to knock on, no warm beds to curl up in, only the cold ground and the hope that someone will notice them. Wrap them in Your protection, guide them to shelter, and keep them safe through the freezing nights they did not choose.
Please soften human hearts to see them, to help them, to bring warmth where there is none. Let kindness find them in time, and let love reach the ones still waiting in the cold. Until they know safety, may You be their shelter and their comfort through this storm.

Snow update:

Willow says come on in!

The first customer came through shortly after 7am. Our drive has been cleaned and he reported that plows have been out on all roads. He said they are snow covered but normal winter driving conditions.
