Raven is around 9 years old, underweight, and another heartbreaking reminder that sometimes humans fail the very animals who trust us the most. Like Rizzy, Raven has been deprived of the care and food she deserved. We’ll be working hard to get some healthy weight on both girls and help them get back on their paws.

But here’s the thing that gets us every time… despite the neglect, despite being let down by the very people who should have cared for them, Raven is still incredibly sweet. She still wants to be around people. She still trusts. She still has love to give.

How is it that animals can be treated so poorly by humans and still be willing to love us? They don't hold grudges or ask for explanations. They just keep hoping that someone will finally treat them with kindness. ❤️
