We are so proud of Emily and her accomplishments this year!!

When I look at all of my horses, but especially these three this year, I see resilience. They’re all so different, but I’m honored to be in each of their stories. It’s so hard when you want your horses to get the attention that they want and you know they deserve, but they aren’t machines. You can’t turn on a winning switch if it isn’t their day (or yours). So I’m choosing to focus on the unique ability that each of them brings to the team and look back on an incredible season that got me this back number and the experience here at NFR once again that every little girl in barrel racing dreams about.

Chongo, you’re a legend (even if it’s just to me). You helped build me into who I am today, and here you are, still proving you are one of the best so many years into this. You’ve always given me your heart, you’ve always done things your way and stayed true. Thank you for showing up for me every single time I’ve needed you and reminding me not to take life *too* seriously.

Chewy, I cannot even put into words what this season meant to me. Having the chance to jockey such an incredible mare with the 4M Equine Ranch team behind us made the summer an exciting ride, and you’ve given me some of my most memorable runs in a short amount of time. Thank you for showing me that you can be gritty, and kind and have fun all at once in barrel racing.

Liza, you’re just my girl. You make me work for every step, but it’s always worth it. You like your space sometimes, and you’re independent, but when you love, you love BIG. Thank you for teaching me that champions can move in silence.

And while I’m here, we couldn’t do it without so many friends, family and fans that are cheering us on. And if you think this is a “giving up,” post…try again. We’ve still got two rodeos left that pay $33K a piece….so let’s load one of these bullets up and go get it!!!!
