Can you help?

Over the past year, we’ve seen a continued rise in the number of neighbors coming through our doors for meals and support. Food insecurity in Macon County is growing, and the need has never been greater. At the same time, the cost of providing these essential services has increased significantly.

Because Good Samaritan Inn does not receive state or federal funding, we rely entirely on local generosity to sustain our mission. After years of stretching every dollar and using reserves to keep up with demand, we are now facing a critical funding gap.

Without additional support, our remaining reserves are projected to be exhausted by June 2026. To continue serving our community at the level of need we’re seeing, we must raise $410,000 by June 30, 2026.

This is not easy news to share, but we believe in the strength of this community. Whether you’re able to give financially, help spread the word, connect us with potential partners, or simply keep our mission in your thoughts and prayers, your support truly matters.

We remain committed to fighting hunger, strengthening stability, and building hope for individuals and families across Decatur and Macon County. Thank you for standing with us.
