Meet Blazer!
This handsome 9-month-old pit mix is the total package — fun, loving, and eager to please. Blazer loves to play, loves his treats, and absolutely loves meeting new people. He’s a happy, active pup who listens well and takes direction easily, whether it’s being asked to sit or to settle down for a moment.

Blazer is still young and so ready to keep learning new commands and manners. He deserves the chance to grow up in a home, not a shelter, and he’s more than ready to start that next chapter.

Doc Hudson has been waiting way too long for someone to notice him. This handsome 2-year-old pit mix came to MCAC on May 8th, and somehow he’s still here… even though he’s an amazing dog!

• About 70 pounds of handsome
• Walks beautifully on leash
• Loves hanging out with his volunteer and employee buddies
• Sweet, social, and such a good boy

Doc Hudson isn’t just a dog—he’s the kind of dog who leans in for pets, enjoys a good stroll, and just wants someone to finally choose him. 💙

He’s been passed by for far too long, and we’d love nothing more than to send him into the new year with a family of his own.

Meet Maccabee! 🐾💛
This handsome 3-year-old gentleman came to MCAC as a stray on 11/20. His finders couldn’t stop talking about what a great cat he was — they were sure someone must be missing him. Sadly, no one came forward during his stray hold, but their loss could be your perfect gain!

Maccabee is now relaxing in our cat colony, greeting visitors and patiently waiting for his forever family. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy, weighs about 12 pounds, and has the biggest heart (and purr!) in the room. 😻

Meet Colleen

Who saw this sweet girl on WAND News today? Colleen is estimated to be about 2 and a half years old and is listed as a Husky mix, we do think she may be mixed with a smaller breed though because she is fully grown and weighs in at only 36 pounds. She has one blue eye and one brown eye and the softest white coat. She was brought in as a stray on 10/7 which means her adoption fee is fully sponsored if she is adopted this week!

Colleen walks great on a leash and knows basic commands such as sit and lay down. She is very treat motivated and it seems that the only thing she loves more than treats is belly rubs, she rolls right over for belly rubs as soon as she feels safe with you.

Meet Cheese Toastie! 🧀✨

Yep, we decided we needed a Cheese Toastie, to go along with Grilled Cheese, who is also still waiting patiently for her forever home.

This sweet boy came to us as a stray on 11/17, and somehow no one came to claim him during his hold. So now he’s officially looking for a home of his own. He’s about 2 years old, maybe a cattle dog mix, and absolutely fun-sized at just 31 pounds. And while toys are… meh… and treats are “maybe, if they’re the right flavor,” humans? Oh, he LOVES humans. Cheese Toastie thinks every person he meets is his long-lost best friend. If you offer b***y scratches or belly rubs, prepare for him to move into your heart permanently.

This little guy has been charming everyone at MCAC, and we’re all rooting for him to find his perfect match.

🐾 Weekly Adoption Update! 🐾

It was a short week at the shelter, but that didn’t stop some amazing pets from finding their forever families! We are so excited to share that 13 cats and 1 dog were adopted this week! ❤️

Cats adopted: Alfredo, Angel, Bea Arthur, Benny, Chuck Norris, Holmes, Luke, Macy, Marshall, Seven, Six, Stella, and Wiley Coyote.
Dog adopted: Cambria.

We are so grateful for everyone who continues to like, share, and support our posts—it truly helps these sweet pets find their new homes.

❄️ Happy Snow Day! ❄️
In honor of today’s winter wonderland, we’re featuring one of our very own snow-white pups — Duck Sauce! 🤍🐾

Duck Sauce is a handsome, 3-year-old husky mix with a heart just as warm as his fluffy coat. This sweet boy is incredibly well-behaved, walks beautifully on a leash, and even sits when asked. And if you love a snuggly dog… he literally loves to lean on his people for affection. 🥰

While Duck Sauce is amazing with humans, he doesn’t seem to enjoy the company of cats, so a cat-free home would be best for him.

The shelter will be closed for adoptions today due to weather. We would like to thank all the essential kennel staff who still brave the cold snowy weather to care for the animals even when the shelter is closed.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! 🦃❤️
As we continue into the holiday season, we’re excited to share that our Shelter Giving Tree is officially up and ready for all of Santa’s helpers! 🎄✨

One of Santa’s amazing helpers stopped by this past week to decorate the tree with ornaments—each one listing an item that our sweet shelter dogs and cats would love to receive for Christmas. 🎁🐶🐱

We are so grateful for the time and heart put into making these ornaments every year. They help our community see exactly what’s on our shelter pets’ Christmas wish lists!
