Well, folks… somebody hit the “GET THESE ANIMALS HOME” button this week, and we are NOT complaining! 😂🙌

And because apparently 21 cats leaving wasn't enough…

🐱 6 SPICY KITTENS packed their tiny bags and headed off to barn homes, where they can live their best lives without having to endure the terrible hardship of… people. 😂🌾
We respect their boundaries. 😂

And then there was ONE VERY FUNNY HAIRLESS CAT who skipped the adoption line altogether and headed off to rescue. We have no idea what his long-term career plans are, but we're pretty sure they involve being weird and fabulous. 😂✨

These four little superstars came into the shelter together as strays on 8/20, and honestly… friendship really does never end!

These girls are estimated to be about 4 months old and they absolutely LOVE each other! They can usually be found cuddled up together, because apparently even Spice Girls need their girl gang. 🥰

They've got the looks. They've got the personalities. They've got the zig-a-zig-ah! 😹

Now all they need is YOU! ❤️

👑🐾 MEET PRINCESS LEIA! 🐾👑

This sweet, smiley girl is ready to find her forever kingdom! ❤️ Princess Leia is estimated to be about 5 years old and weighs 50 pounds.

Yesterday, Leia got to enjoy a walk and some playtime with a new volunteer friend, and she absolutely loved it! 🥰 She enjoys her outside time, but she’s also a big fan of settling down and enjoying some good old-fashioned chill time. And now she’s hoping to find a family with a couch where she can do plenty of that! 🛋️👑

Leia keeps her kennel clean, loves her treats, and seems to do well with other dogs. 🐶❤️

Like many pitties, Leia does have some skin allergies that will require a family willing to understand and manage her needs. But underneath those allergies is one incredibly sweet girl who is ready to be loved and spoiled like the princess she is!

Just look at that smile! 😍 She is SO ready to meet her forever family.

🐾 Meet Cataleya! 🐾

Cataleya is a sweet girl estimated to be about 4 years old and listed as a Pit Bull/Rottweiler mix. She came to MCAC as a stray on 8/14, and the scars on her body tell us that she hasn't always had the easy life she deserves. 💔

But Cataleya isn't letting her past define her! ❤️ She loves to run and play, especially when there's another dog on the other side of the fence to keep her company.

This sweet girl deserves to know what it feels like to have a loving family, a soft place to sleep, and someone who will never let her down.

🐾💙 Meet Jujube! 💙🐾

Those BLUE eyes and those big pointy ears?! 😍 We can't get enough of this sweet girl!

Jujube, aka Juju, is about 4–5 months old and 27 pounds. We're not quite sure what her breed mix is, but we're thinking maybe Husky/Shepherd mix — whatever she is, she's absolutely adorable! 🐶💕

Juju is currently enjoying life in a foster home, where she's learning all about being a house dog. Her foster family says she's doing great! She's working on her leash skills, potty training, and basic commands, and she takes direction from her foster family very well. 🏡

She LOVES:
🐾 Going for walks
🧩 Playing with her puzzle enrichment toy
🐶 Meeting new pup friends
❤️ Learning new things with her foster family

Juju is a sweet, smart girl who is soaking up everything her foster family is teaching her. Now she's ready to find her forever family!

This Week at MCAC: The Full Picture 🐾

We usually like to keep our weekly adoption posts positive and upbeat—and there is definitely plenty to celebrate! ❤️ But this week, we want to show you the FULL picture of what the last 7 days have looked like at the shelter.

📥 90 INTAKES.
Yes, you read that right. 90 dogs, cats, and kittens who should have been safe at home came through the doors in just one week.

🏠 29 OUTCOMES.
• 7 pets were reclaimed by their owners
• 23 pets were given a chance at happiness through adoption

That means 90 came in, but only 29 found a way out. And that is why our shelter is FULL. 💔

If you or someone you know is missing a pet, please stop by MCAC and see if they are there. Your missing family member could be waiting for you.

And if you've been thinking about adding a new pet to your family, please consider stopping by the shelter. There are so many wonderful dogs, cats, and kittens waiting for someone to choose them. 🐶🐱❤️
