Freedom Reins is in the Decatur Christmas Parade this Saturday, the 6th at 4. We're excited to see our friends and family along the streets! We need your help! This is a really big event with thousands of people and we can't buy a whole stores worth of candy. If you could drop off candy at the barn or coordinate pick up by Saturday morning, that would be so appreciated! Can't wait to celebrate the season with y'all! 🎄🐎☃️💚

Life Foursquare. We were just coming onto your radar a year ago. We were a tiny program that lived elsewhere. We had a few of you that participated in our program, but we weren't related to each other at all.

Now, Freedom Reins lives on a corner of your property (we think it's the best corner EVER). Everyone has been so incredibly welcoming and kind. The reception we've received has been positively warm and filled with excitement. All of your enthusiasm has propelled us forward day after day. The donations have been plenty, and the prayers even more so. We hope to continually make you proud as we continue the ministry. As we continue to grow and evolve, thank you so much for standing with us and supporting Freedom Reins' mission. We love you.

Gratitude post of the day: Jen Lange- current president and most involved volunteer. This woman has stepped up over and over again to drive Freedom Reins forward. She's helped us reach goals way ahead of time, been creative when things needed met, and has poured her heart (and family/friends) into what's made us who we are today. Jen is multifaceted, talented, and all around handy! If she doesn't know, she'll research it or find someone who does. This is a woman in charge who takes initiative every time. Her term on the board comes to an end in December, but we're so happy she's sticking around as a volunteer. We'd be lost without her! Jen, there aren't enough words to thank you for all you've done for Freedom Reins, while maintaining a family and business of your own. Your passion, sacrifices, and dedication do not go unnoticed. You are inspirational!

Today's thank you goes to the directors' kids and partner. They have been at every event, spent this past week winterizing the barn, and offer encouragement daily. Dave helps with countless projects, chores, loads of hay, and is so supportive of our successes. Jetson and Koda are at the barn at least once a day to help bring horses in, feed, and run around like wild cowboys. When Luna makes an appearance, it's always an adventure. We are so grateful for this family and their involvement. 💚

We missed yesterday's gratitude post, so today, you get double!

At the end of July, during some of the hottest days of the whole year, the Burgett family made a driveway and parking lot for us. They worked tirelessly and got the job done super fast with excellent customer service.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy work schedules to create better accessibility for our community!

As you can all guess, there's A LOT that goes on behind the scenes. One particular individual did a lot of the physical labor, but also supported the board as well. Dan Lange is husband to Jen Lange, Freedom Reins board president. He was there from the very beginning: cleaning out the barn before work could even start, helping move alllll the heavy things, helping with posts, turning horses out (he stole many, many pets along the way). He helped shovel gravel, worked on the carport, the run-in, and so many things that there really aren't enough words to thank him. Thank you for helping make our little corner ready for the horses and program and being a vital part. We'd like to say we have photos to add, but apparently there's exactly one video of all of your contributions!

Since everything was moved around and added, we should thank Lighthouse Electric for assisting us with so many of our electrical needs. They put the outlets right where we asked, and you can see our barn as you approach now that the sun sets so early because of the outdoor lights they added to our barn. Thank you guys for the job well done!

Kylie and Jamie, your boys have only been here a short few months, but they've got quite the fan club (both in humans, and in Mocha). Thank you for recognizing the home they can have, the students they can serve, and making it so easy for us to be able to have them available for our students. We're so excited for what the future holds with them here at Freedom Reins!

Many of you know him, and allllll of us love him. So we wanted to thank his owner, Rhonda for donating Frosty to Freedom Reins last year. He's little, and he's mighty, and he's quite the character. He's wormed into everyone's hearts and makes the best little guy to brighten all of our days. Unless, he found a mud puddle, then he's not quite as bright (white) and more a dull gray.

Regardless, Rhonda, thank you for sending us your little blessing and supporting us so much in those early months of him residing with us!

To continue with November gratitude, we want to thank the Renfro family, who donated this gorgeous girl to our program and enabled us to open up the program to students that we previously weren't able to accommodate. Sis is a fan favorite because she is simply so gorgeous to look at, and she's got quite the personality to boot. Thank you, Desiree, Lane, and the rest of the family for seeing our program and a need we had. Sis has been a great blessing and addition to the program.
