The items below are ALWAYS needed at the Shelter, and may be dropped off at the front desk during our normal operating hours. Thank

◾Liquid laundry detergent is needed for the MANY loads of laundry we do every day.
◾Dawn Dish Soap for Dishwasher. Dawn is preferred since it's also safe for young puppies and kitten in need of a bath!
◾Regular Bleach (i.e. Clorox Clean-Up is not safe for animals). We use bleach to clean all parts of the shelter.

◾Paper Towels. We use these to clean all over the shelter all day long.
◾Trash Bags. 55 Gallon, 1.5 Mil (this thickness is durable enough for medium/heavy weight trash). We go through 100 bags each week.
◾Gift Cards to: Amazon, Office Depot, Lowe’s, Target, Sam’s Club, Publix, Walgreen’s, etc. Newspaper
We shred newspaper to put in kennels. We use A LOT of newspapers and appreciate your donating newspapers to us. Copy paper

Slip Leads/Leashes

Please note that due to sanitary and safety policies, we cannot accept the following items: choke collars, plastic bowls, retractable leashes, rawhide treats or toys, opened bags of pet food, sheets or pillow cases, electric blankets, dog tie-outs or tie-out stakes for yards.

AUCTION ITEMS NEEDED! Sweet Max Goof is one of about 1,000 homeless pets PAWS Atlanta is helping to get a second chance this year.

We’d love your help with our Party for the PAWS silent auction.

There are lots of ways you can help. Can you donate an item? Do you have a friend or favorite business that might be willing to donate something? Would your company like to be a Party for the PAWS sponsor?

Some auction items that are always favorites include:

* theme baskets
* weekend getaways
* Atlanta experiences
* harder-to-find spirits (bourbons, scotch, etc.)
* limited release wines or wine baskets
* artwork, jewelry (especially by local artists/jewelry makers)
* sports, concert tickets
* beauty & hair products/treatments
* salon experiences
* home decor / kitchen appliances
* career/life coaching sessions

✨ Meet Brandy: your one-and-only couch companion!

Brandy is a devoted, affectionate, senior girl who wants to be your everything. Once she’s gotten to know you, her loving personality shines through, and she’ll stick to your side like Velcro. 🥰 She’s a true homebody at heart—snuggling on the couch, soaking up belly rubs, and being showered with affection is her idea of heaven.

At 13, Brandy is looking for a calm, quiet home where she can enjoy her golden years in peace. She enjoys short strolls, a good game of tug, shredding soft toys, and, most of all, peanut butter (her absolute favorite treat!). She's a tripod, so she does need a bit of help with things like getting on the couch, into the car, or managing stairs, but she’s generally a low-maintenance gal.

Brandy thrives in a one-on-one setting and would do best in a home without children or a lot of activity. She can be selective with other dogs, preferring smaller companions if any, and she isn’t one for big gatherings or meeting new people right away. She takes time to trust, but it’s so worth it when she does!

Brandy would love a family who can provide her with the comfort, routine, and love she so deserves. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will be endlessly devoted to you, Brandy just might be your perfect match.

Meet 🥰 Tifa Lockhart! She's a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and telling you all about her day. She's also a snuggler who loves head scratches and curling up with you at the end of the day.

If you're looking for a friend to greet you when you get home and keep you company during your evening routine, Tifa is the girl for you. She also gets along well with other cats and doesn't seem to be picky about who's keeping her company as long as she has a friend around to hang out with.

Tifa is FIV+ which means she has an underlying immune virus that cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs. She is healthy and non-symptomatic but may be prone to things like respiratory viruses. Cats with FIV can typically live a long, healthy life.

To meet Tifa, pay a visit to Second Life Atlanta where she's currently being fostered. She would love to say hello!

🐾 Day 218 of Rescue: fresh peach delivery! 🍑

These three little kittens 🐱 were left at our gate about an hour ago in a peach farm box, and our team immediately got them warm and fed. We named them Georgiabelle, Elberta, and Flame Prince (after types of peaches 😉) They’re still figuring out the whole bowl thing, but they’re pros at bottle feeding!

They’re about three weeks old and are headed into foster to grow big and strong. We can’t plan for every situation, but we can provide the love and care these little ones need until they’re ready for forever homes ❤️

Our 🐾 Pet Food Bank has been at a constant low this summer, and we need your help stocking up for the fall! This program is so important for us and for our community. Providing food to pet owners in need helps keep pets in loving homes, preventing them from coming to the shelter.

No one should have to choose between feeding their pets and buying other necessities, but that's a reality for many people. Whether it's job loss, a medical issue, or a family crisis, many pet owners need a boost to get through hard times. We want everyone to be able to keep their beloved pets, and you can help us make that happen!

How it started ➡️ how it’s going 🥰

Remember 🐈‍⬛ Sharpie? He was left in our donation area in a cat bed back in April. Thankfully, we found him quickly because he was barely a month old!

He went into foster with one of our Vet Assistants, and she grew to love this little void so much that, when it came time for him to go to the Cat Cottage, she just couldn’t say goodbye!

Sharpie now has his very own account (), two dog siblings, and all the toys he could imagine. He’s come a long way since his donation bin days, plus he comes to the clinic for visits to his friends every now and then ❤️❤️
