The items below are ALWAYS needed at the Shelter, and may be dropped off at the front desk during our normal operating hours. Thank

you!

◾Liquid laundry detergent is needed for the MANY loads of laundry we do every day.
◾Dawn Dish Soap for Dishwasher. Dawn is preferred since it's also safe for young puppies and kitten in need of a bath!
◾Regular Bleach (i.e. Clorox Clean-Up is not safe for animals). We use bleach to clean all parts of the shelter.

◾Paper Towels. We use these to clean all over the shelter all day long.
◾Trash Bags. 55 Gallon, 1.5 Mil (this thickness is durable enough for medium/heavy weight trash). We go through 100 bags each week.
◾Gift Cards to: Amazon, Office Depot, Lowe’s, Target, Sam’s Club, Publix, Walgreen’s, etc. Newspaper
We shred newspaper to put in kennels. We use A LOT of newspapers and appreciate your donating newspapers to us. Copy paper
Batteries
Slip Leads/Leashes

Please note that due to sanitary and safety policies, we cannot accept the following items: choke collars, plastic bowls, retractable leashes, rawhide treats or toys, opened bags of pet food, sheets or pillow cases, electric blankets, dog tie-outs or tie-out stakes for yards.

A few weeks ago, we had the honor of caring for the beloved dog of Fire Station 24 for the day. His caretakers spent the day remembering their fellow fire fighter, Preston Fant, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty last month. We wanted their team to be able to mourn this loss without worrying about caring for their station pup, and we were more than glad to step in.

Our local fire stations do so much for our communities and our animals, and our team was glad to provide a comfortable spot for their pup to relax for the day. A huge thank you to all of our first responders for everything they do! ❤️

We need your newspapers! 📰 Our team uses dozens of newspapers every day to line our kennels and litterboxes to keep our animals dry and clean. But fewer and fewer people read the newspaper these days, and that means we have to spend more on alternatives.

We currently have a partnership with the AJC to donate a large amount of newspapers to us each month, but they're soon going entirely digital. No hard feelings, but we now need yesterday's news more than ever!

Drop off donations any time in our covered donation bin by the front gate. Our animals thank you! ❤️

Meet Sueño, the man of your dreams! 😴 💭 He's a wiggly-tailed lovebug who's ready for his forever home!

Sueño loves to cuddle on the couch, shower you with kisses, and impress you with his smarts. He already knows commands like sit, shake, and "no!". He has made incredible progress since entering his foster home, and he’s ready to charm his way into your heart. ❤️

This lovable guy is a 🦋 social butterfly once he feels safe. He’s also made plenty of dog friends, playing gently and giving great signals. He simply needs a little time to warm up, to both people and other pups.
