Good morning!! ☀️

I just want to say THANK YOU for the incredible amount of support lately. Between pet sitting and getting to speak at That’s What She Said, I’ve met so many amazing new people, heard a ton of your stories, and felt such a genuine sense of connection and community. 🫂🐾

My summer schedule is filling up FAST!

A few reminders:

—THE BEST WAY TO REACH ME IS THROUGH ROVER!
I receive those notifications right away and it helps me keep everything organized during busy season. Calls and texts are always okay too, (I always provide my personal number to clients as well as the Rover secure line) but responses may occasionally be delayed since I work full-time and also try to be present with my family when I can.

—I offer a COMPLIMENTARY meet and greet visit to all new clients. This 20 minute in-person meeting is to make sure I’m the best fit for your pet(s) and to go over all care instructions for them. I do not accept booking or payment prior to meeting in person.

—The only dates I’m currently planning to be unavailable (for all consultations and visits) are July 2nd–10th 🌄🗽🛥️🏰

✨Long Story Ahead✨

A dog saved my life in a house fire and 6 months later I got pregnant. We immediately picked a name. Phoenix Avery Wigginton. We didn’t care if it was a boy or a girl and it wasn’t until weeks later that I realized, that special dog watching over me from above knew I needed a hand and lent me her “P.A.W.”

I started Pet Sitting and Dog Walking to give back to that dog who gave her life for mine, to pour into the community who did so much for me, and to show my daughter what never giving up looks like — even when every odd is stacked against you.

Fast forward to my daughter’s career day in kindergarten today. She wants to be a future veterinarian and has always had a gift with animals. It truly warms my heart to see that I am setting that example in real time. That every late night, missed holiday, and long weekend is worth it because this little girl thinks I am worth modeling. Phoenix says she wants to work with me someday and of course I know childhood dreams change and that is okay with me but I don’t think she will ever know how important and loved she makes me feel.

Most of my days are spent with a little patience, a little gentle understanding, and a whole lot of love. Every pet has their own personality and routines to learn and that’s honestly my favorite part.

It was never “just a walk” to me. 💙🐾

But GREAT NEWS!!! I have an opening for weekly M-F lunchtime visits this summer!

30 minute Drop-in style visits are perfect for people working long hours and/or whose pet needs a little extra attention while you are away! Pet parents create their own schedule (days desired) and can modify/adjust anytime with no penalty if needed. These services include potty-time, meal-time, play-time, light cleaning, walks, etc.

Doing a “Thunderstorm Visit” this afternoon with my friend, Henry. 🌦️🐾🛋️

Henry will not leave the bathroom during storms so I brought the couch to him. With my one-of-a-kind services, each visit is uniquely curated to fit your pet’s needs in the comfort of their own home. I am honored to be welcomed into Henry’s safe space and help make him feel more comfortable until his owner’s return.

I had the most amazing opportunity this past year to heal, grow, connect, and learn more about myself and my purpose. 🫂

Last weekend I got to share my truth on stage with 7 other amazing women at the Lincoln Square Theater. Thank you Heart of Illinois Community Foundation and That's What She Said for giving me the space to share my story and continue to carry on Sara’s legacy. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and to all of you who have personally reached out and even shared your own stories with me. That is exactly what that night was all about and I will never forget it.

“I thought if I can walk, I’ll walk dogs” and I am truly so excited for another summer full of adventures with your furry friends! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for entrusting me with your pets while you are away. I am dedicated to loving them like they are my own.

The countdown is on! That's What She Said is on the marquee at the Lincoln Square Theater and we’re just 5 days away! ✨

We have been working very hard since last November to bring you all into our worlds for a little bit, and we are really excited to finally share a piece of our hearts with you. This journey has taught me so much about myself and I will be forever grateful for this opportunity.

I have been unavailable this week to be with family after an unexpected loss and will resume on Monday, 4/6. Thank you all for the compassion and patience you have shown us during this difficult time.

I want you all to know I saw TWPS made it to the top 5 on the Herald and Review Reader’s Choice Awards for the 3rd year in a row. I appreciate all of your continuous support more than you know. I do it for this community who has done so much for me.

Please hug those furbabies extra tight and I will be back soon. 💙
