2 weeks old!!
It has been an eventful last few days...all of the puppies have opened their eyes and are beginning to crawl around! They are determined as they wobble and explore their small, new world. Along with holding and cuddling the puppies, we have been performing desensitization on each puppy (Early Neurological Stimulation). When performed correctly, ENS is believed to impact the neurological system by kicking it into action earlier than would be normally expected, the result being an increased capacity that later will help to make the difference in its performance. ENS is time sensitive and must be performed from the 3rd to the 16th days of a puppy's life. Five benefits have been observed in canines that were exposed to ENS, including improved cardiovascular performance (heart rate); stronger heart beats; stronger adrenal glands; more tolerance to stress; and greater resistance to disease.
In tests of learning, ENS stimulated pups were more active and exploratory than their non-stimulated littermates.
We are loving interacting with each of the pups as we prepare them for their future forever families!!! We still have 3 puppies waiting for their forever families. (The 3 families who have reserved puppies are watching their personalities develop so as to find the perfect addition to their family). Please message us for more information. Located in Decatur, IN.
