Pears, pears, pears🍐. This old Orchard on Brush Creek Ranch was the start of our farm business. We needed something to do with all the pears that it produced so they wouldn’t go to waste. We had also been wanting to start a cottage industry that could involve the whole family. So we found some recipes, got the needed approval and permits from the health department, and started selling our products at the local farmers market. It took off from there and now we produce thousands of jars of pickles, jams, and jellies, all made from local produce and canned with care every year for your enjoyment😊.

This year’s onion crop ready for storage. We grew Walla Walla, Red Zeppelin, and Patterson. Pattersons and zeppelins store super well for long periods of time, while walla wallas are deliciously sweet but need to be used quickly. A lot of the walla wallas will be used in our bread and butter pickles🥒 😋.
