Not sure who is the most excited about this news, Ogun, me, or Corey. Lol. Corey and I are taking next week off! It has been an absurdly long time since we’ve taken any real time off so we figure our 6th wedding anniversary and Corey’s birthday week is the perfect time! We will be at Dog Dayze at Blake’s tomorrow, but next week we’ll be on radio silence, so if you reach out and don’t hear back, that’s why! Lol.

Our small biz turns 7 today! (Granted, we were technically working on getting the biz going well before this, but April 18th is the most official birthday. lol)

Anyhoo. Part of me can’t believe that we’ve made it to 7. Between Covid, all of our personal losses and grieving times, moving across the country and needing to rebuild our clientbase, there have been so many things working against us. I’m trying not to think about the madness that is the world currently, or else I spiral into worry. It feels weird to celebrate right now, but we do need to hold onto every little bit of joy we have. 💙

Anyhoo again. Thank you to our clients for coming along this adventure with us. Thank you to our family and friends for supporting us too. We wouldn’t be here without the insanely awesome support system we are so freaking lucky to have. We are privileged and grateful. 💙

Here’s to many more years of bringing clarity and stronger bonds to doggos and the people who love them! Cheers! 🍻

Couldn't be prouder of these two! 😍

Max is two weeks into his Board & Train stay and absolutely rocking it! Maple went home today after her two week advanced e-collar B&T. She picked it up like a champ. 😎

Sometimes the pictures are so cute, I just gotta give em a permanent spot on the feed. Lol.

You may see more photos than videos soon on our account. 🙃 I've been itching to pull my actual camera out for a while and now I have a real reason to! We're now offering portrait photo sessions to our training clients!! My background and degree is in photography so it's high time I put it back to good use by creating beautiful images of our clients and/or their puppers that they can love forever! 😁

He's picking up on this whole E-Collar training thing very well! The real fun begins Saturday when we can teach his family the language of the e-collar and Remi can safely live the off leash life. 🙌

It's been a rough couple weeks for us, but we are thrilled that Miss Shadow started her Day Train today. 🥳

She's a silly goose with a lot of energy in every direction. Her mom adopted her in December, so we're not sure exactly what her first year or so of life was like. What we do know is that whoever raised her didn't do a good job..... Lucky for our goofy friend, she and her mom have us in their corner now. We'll spend the next month teaching them both all the basics to set them up for success! 💙

Bad news friend. If you’re not in a place to handle said bad news, please keep scrolling...

We sent our sweet Bella Bee over the rainbow bridge on Monday. She was trooping along until her face swelled up again quickly, so we got her to the vet and they said that we could attempt to treat it, but more than likely she would just suffer and it wouldn’t get much better if at all. I know in my heart it was the right call, but I am devastated beyond words. I had been dreading this day for so long and now that it’s past, I am barely holding it together…

The day we met, she decided I was her person, much to Corey’s chagrin since he was the one who raised her. She was my buddy, my comfort, and my joy. She was always so happy and down to go anywhere and do anything. She loved to sunbathe and go for walkies and chill on dog friendly patios. Through all of our losses and tragedies over the last 6 years, she was there. She would flip over on her back and wag her tail like a goofus and the world would be a little bit ok again, no matter how sad I was.

She was the perfect helper doggo. She cared most about her mama and snacks, so the other dogs wouldn’t feel threatened nor over excited despite her size. She was the first dog we would bring out for our reactive client dogs for that very reason.

She taught me so much. She, Loba, Riley, and Ogun were the first dogs Corey had taught me how to train. And since she, Loba, and Ogun already knew all the things, I could really focus on myself and know for sure if I was doing the thing correctly or not. There is so much value in learning from a well educated dog.

I miss her and our house will never be the same. Obviously I knew this day was coming in hot and she did live way longer than I anticipated, but still. I’m a mess. You’ve think I’d be better at this whole grieving thing by now…

I suppose my parting message is this: don’t wait to do all the things with your dog. You never know how much time you’ll have with them. Take the class, do the sport, sit on the floor and just be with them. In fact, stop scrolling and go do something with your dog right now. That’s what I’m going to do. Ogun and Bear need me too afterall.💙
