As a Dog Groomer I can be an important member of a pet's healthcare team by discovering potential problems early, such as ear infections, skin abnormalities, tooth decay or Parasites. I have been a professional groomer for over 7 years, but just opened my own fur salon here in De Soto called Barks and Bubbles, LLC. I have a small in home grooming salon, and work by timed appointments only. This wa

y I can work exclusively on your furry family member, without the normal interruptions of a store front. Bringing your dog to Barks and Bubbles is less stressful on them. They will not have to stay in a cage all day or be in an environment with lots of barking dogs. I take my time with them while being Kind, Patient, and Loving. I am a full service dog grooming salon. I do everything from just trimming the nails to full Grooming. If you are not sure what fur style will best fit for your dog, I will gladly give some suggestions. I offer three grooming packages, Bath and Brush, Face, Feet & F***y, and Full Grooming. I use a variety of shampoo and conditioners, all safe and Natural, so I can select the best grooming products for your dog’s needs. The whole grooming process usually takes about two to three hours. I would recommend that you drop off your dog and I’ll give you a call as soon as he/she is ready for pick up, but if you would rather stay with your pet, I have a nice area where you can wait for them. Well it looks like age and health issues have caught up with me, so I had to make the agonizing decision to close Barks and Bubbles at the end of December 2022.
I want to complete my appointments that I have on the books for this year, but will not make any appointments for next year.
I just want to thank all my loyal customers, past and present, along with employees Pam, Jessica, Makayla and of course my husband Bob, for helping me live my life long dream of grooming dogs.

Thank you everyone for the kind words while margie wasn't feeling well. I wanted to let you all know we are back open and Margie is doing much better! For those of you that we had to cancle an appointment ,Jessica has been calling today and will continue calling tomorrow to get everyone rescheduled. Also due to the pandemic and Johnson County rules we ask that you please wear a mask when coming in to Barks and Bubbles. We are also working on getting some masks for customers. Again thank you so much for being paitent and keeping us in your thoughts, it really does mean the world!

As of today Margie will be staying another night in the hospital while they run some more tests and try and figure out what exactly is wrong. We want to thank each and everyone of you for understanding and the kind words/prayers. Once we know more Jessica will be contacting anyone that missed an appointment and any other questions. Good evening, we wanted to inform all our customers at Barks and Bubbles that Margie is currently in the hospital and is staying overnight. Even though we are uncertain what is wrong at this time we want to ensure all of you that she is not contagious nor dose she have the coronavirus. Unfortunately, this means we will not be open tomorrow and depending on what the doctors say we might be closed for a little longer. Jessica will be contacting everyone with appointments this week and keeping you all updated but if there are any other questions feel free to give us a call or email us. Thank you everyone for being so patient, starting this week we are back open and ready to start! If anyone has any questions regarding their schedules or any other inquiries please feel free to give us a call at: (913)-586-5138 or email us at: [email protected]. We ask that you please be patient with us on getting back to all your questions as there is so many customers and only one person running the front desk. Also, due to the pandemic and being so booked we are unable to accept any new customers during this time. Lastly, many of you have been asking if there is anything different during drop off and pick up. Our goal with that is whatever you feel most comfortable with. We have many options including: one of us coming out to get your pet and bringing them back out to your car, we also have a kennel at the top of the stairs and you may drop off your dog in that kennel and one of us will go up stairs and bring your dog down, lastly you are more than welcome to come down stairs as usual. We are still working extra hard on keeping everything clean for each customer throughout the day! Hope everyone stays safe during this time and we look forward to seeing all of you!
