PAWS, Inc. De Leon, Texas PAWS, Inc. was created to improve the lives of feral cats through TNR. In this way, the feral cat population is gradually and humanely reduced.

(People As Wise Stewards) is a 501(c)(3) charity created to improve the lives of feral and stray cats by following the philosophy of TNR (Trap Neuter Return) and ongoing caregiving of feral cat colonies around De Leon, Texas. PAWS traps feral cats and has them spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies and common diseases; has them examined by a veterinarian and ear tipped for identification. The c

Meet Nightbird! This is the kitten that I posted yesterday that is having trouble with its back legs. It is doing better than I expected and hopefully will soon be back at 100% and ready for a forever family.

I was contacted about this kitten that appears to have some sort of injury that is affecting its back legs and I’m hoping to find a foster home or a rescue that can take it. The people who found it did not have the money to take it to the vet, but said that it does seem to be improving. I think it was injured because they said it was playful and walking fine before, but then one day was dragging its back legs, but it does seem like it is now using them. Please send me a message if you’re interested in fostering.

Update: thanks to a very generous donor this kitten was able to go to the vet yesterday and is now on antibiotics and hopefully will be back normal soon.

This poor kitten needs to get to a vet and if you would like to donate that would really help us out. We would like to raise $100 to have it examined and get antibiotics. We would also love to find a rescue for this kitten and its littermates! To donate you can go to our website pawsdeleon.org
