Here we are. Approaching the final day of business is hardly as exhilarating as I had anticipated back when we first began back in 2001. Most businesses are fortunate enough to be able to close with some celebration along with the tears. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are simply saying goodbye. Goodbye to years of hard work, worry, frustration, disappointment, thievery, and disloyalty. Goodbye to 23 years of wonderful clients who have been faithful and brought us lots and lots of pets with lots and lots of different personalities, (some more fun than others), but all of them remembered for a multitude of reasons. So many will remain in our hearts forever because of the special bonds that inevitably form for reasons unknown to anyone other than the pet and the groomer.
So, we say goodbye and thank you to everyone who has worked with us over the years. There have been some who will leave a bigger legacy than others.
One such person is Colleen, whom most of our clients will remember for a long time. Despite my many warnings, she never stopped kissing her dogs and loving them and all their foibles. She was not much more than a child when she was hired and she has done a fine job no matter what task we presented. She has been patient and supportive. She has been a bright light who brings laughter and her ferocious love of animals to every day. We hope that she goes forward with happiness and finds what life has to offer.
THANK YOU, COLLEEN AND BEST OF LUCK IN THE FUTURE 🐾🐾

To any and all of our current clients and those who have been loyal over the past 23 years, we must say goodbye, permanently, to our little business.
Thank you to all of you and your pets for traveling this road with us. It’s really been something, hasn’t it? We will fondly remember many of you and your pets (some of you have been so very loyal by bringing several pets to us) for lots of special reasons.
I’m sad because this career of mine was a result of a chance I took in 1983, thinking that I needed something to make a little money. I loved the experience! I watched the groomers while I bathed dogs. I wanted so very much learn and have my dogs look like theirs. They were patient teachers. I was bitten, scratched, hurt my knee…
Yet, I kept coming to work and getting more proficient at my craft. Actually, more like an art.
So, goodbye to every single one of the dogs I have come to love over 40+ years of making them look as pretty as I could.
And thank you, to everyone who has become almost like family, for your patronage.

Best wishes and much love,
Lynn and Rich

Please Help ... Do You Know This Dog?

We need your help. This is Allie … named after the deputy who saved her from euthanasia. Allie was found outside of a gas station in Devils Lake, North Dakota. She was picked up and taken to the pound where she was set to be put down. A kind deputy took her home so she wouldn’t be euthanized and then brought her to Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue.

We believe this beautiful dog belongs to someone who loves her and misses her. She’s sweet, loving, well-groomed and healthy. Unfortunately, she does not have a collar or chip. Can you help us find her owners? They may be local or perhaps they were passing through and she unexpectantly jumped out of the car. In any case, she deserves to go home.

If this is your dog or if you know who owns her, please message our page. And, if you could share this post, we’re hoping enough people will see it and someone will recognize her.

Let’s get Allie home!
