Dear friends,
We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts. Our sweet Poppy, a beautiful 4 years old miniature poodle from a back yard breeder, has recently been diagnosed with heartworm disease. This news has hit us hard, but we are determined to get her the care she needs to become healthy and strong again.
Poppy is such a sweet soul. She is quiet, gentle, and full of love. She adores chewing on her bones and hoarding all of her toys. She is slowly learning to play with other dogs, and every small step she takes fills our hearts with hope. But right now, she is facing an uphill battle with her health.
The treatment she needs is expensive and will take a couple of months, but we are hopeful that, once complete, she will be able to live a long and healthy life. Afterward, she will need to stay on heartworm prevention for the rest of her life, ensuring her heart stays safe.
We are committed to giving Poppy the care she deserves, but we cannot do it alone. We are asking for your help with the cost of her treatment, which is approximately $1,000. Every little bit helps, and no contribution is too small.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Poppy on her journey to health. Your generosity will make all the difference in her recovery, and we are forever grateful for your love and kindness.

Bottom line...If you adopted from Luv4k9s, your dog IS NOT affected by this....

but if your microchip is through Save This Life in Texas, you will need to register it through another company like www.24petwatch.com

After a microchip company abruptly shut down, animal shelters and related organizations have started to warn pet owners to re-register their animals with a different service.

According to a report by CBS News, Save This Life, a microchip company based out of Texas, recently ceased operations, leaving pets within their database no longer registered.
