One of our gifts to our hardworking team members this year is well deserved time with family during the holidays. Our clinic will be closed December 24th through January 1st. We will open for normal business hours January 2nd. We will not be here to process medication refills – please plan accordingly. In case of emergency, please send a request for patient records to be emailed to [email protected] (include pet’s first and last name and the hospital email for records to be sent to).

Come over to Dayton Valley Veterinary Hospital for a casual Christmas photo in our holiday photo booth with your pet anytime during regular business hours from December 8th to December 23rd. Please tag us in your Facebook photos!

🎅Join us for special pet pictures with Santa “Claws” Saturday December 20th from 9AM to Noon. We will have hot cocoa and cookies while supplies last and photos will be posted to our page for easy retrieval. The clinic will not be open for business at this event. 🎅

🎉 Exciting News from Dayton Valley Veterinary Hospital!

We’re thrilled to share that Dr. Sanford is back in the office after completing treatment and feeling great! 💜 Thank you all for your kind words, patience, and support over the past few months — it’s meant the world to our team.

🐾 Friday Appointments Returning!
Starting in November, we’ll once again be open on Fridays to better serve our clients and patients.

🎄 Holiday Schedule
Please take note of our upcoming closures so you can plan ahead for your pets’ medications and appointments:

• Nevada Day: Closed Friday, October 31
• Veterans Day: Closed Tuesday, November 11
• Thanksgiving & Black Friday: Closed November 27-28
• Christmas & New Year’s Week: Closed December 24 – January 1st (We will reopen Thursday, January 2, 2026)

📣 Clinic Update – Friday Closures Starting August 25th 🐾

To our valued Dayton Valley Veterinary Hospital clients and community,

Beginning the week of August 25th, our clinic will be closed on Fridays until further notice. This temporary change is due to Dr. Sanford stepping away for a period of time for surgery and medical treatment. We will keep everyone updated here on when we are able to open back up on Fridays in the future.

Our team will still be here to care for your pets Monday through Thursday, and we’re committed to maintaining the same level of compassion and service you’ve come to expect.

If your pet has an urgent medical need on a Friday or outside of our normal business hours, here are some local options that may be able to help:

💙 A Personal Note from Dr. Jackie Sanford

I wanted to share something with my Dayton Valley family and friends. I’ve recently been diagnosed with cancer and will be starting treatment soon. I’m doing well and staying positive, but I may need to take some time away from the clinic over the next few months.

The clinic will remain open, and Dr. Jennifer Danielson and Dr. Lauren Press — along with the rest of our incredible team — will be here to care for your pets with the same dedication and compassion you’ve come to expect. If any unexpected closures do come up, we’ll post updates here on Facebook as soon as we can.

If we reach out to reschedule or adjust appointments, I hope you’ll know how much we appreciate your kindness and understanding. This community means so much to me, and your support during this time truly makes a difference.

As my family and I work through this, we’d be so grateful for a little extra privacy and space — and thank you in advance for your care and respect.
