If you walk into our open cat room, Miss M may not be the first to greet you. In fact, you might not notice her right away. She prefers a quiet corner where she feels safe, comfortable, and content.

But if you take the time to get to know her, Miss M will reward you with soft chirps, gentle head nudges, and sweet, quiet affection. She isn't demanding or attention-seeking. She just wants a peaceful place to call home and a kind person to share it with.

If you're looking for a low-key companion who will always be nearby in her own special way, Miss M is ready to meet you.

We’ve got some little “out of this world” cuties in foster care right now 👽💫

Our puppies and kittens are growing fast and reaching important milestones like transitioning to solid food and starting potty training. That means our foster homes are going through supplies quickly as these babies keep growing and learning!

Right now we are in need of:
🐾 kitten litter boxes
🐾 puppy pads
🐾 mom & kitten wet food
🐾 Scales to track growth

These everyday essentials make a huge difference during this messy, magical stage of life where everything is new, a little chaotic, and full of personality.

HSGD Family we still need your help! It has been a week since our girl Whisper got away from a volunteer in Hills and Dales MetroPark. In this time she has traveled and she has been spotted in the area near the Walmart in Moraine. If you happen to see her please notify us ASAP. It is very important for you not to chase her as she will run. Please also don’t attempt to feed her as we have several traps set up in the area with food to entice her. Our team is working hard to get her back. Please share with your friends and let’s get Whisper back to the shelter so she can rest and then find her forever home! Thank you all for your help and support!

If you're looking for a cat with a big personality, Trombone is ready to steal the show!

This handsome guy loves attention and never seems to get enough pets. Whether he's climbing to the highest perch he can find, investigating something new, or curling up for cuddles, Trombone is always keeping life interesting.

Curious, affectionate, and delightfully silly, he has a way of turning everyday moments into entertainment. One minute he's exploring his surroundings like a fearless adventurer, and the next he's soaking up affection like it's his full-time job.

Trombone is the total package: playful, cuddly, and guaranteed to keep you smiling.

Trombone is also front declawed. While declawing is no longer a recommended practice and is not a procedure our veterinarians perform, Trombone doesn't let it slow him down one bit. He's still an active, happy cat with plenty of love, personality, and purrs to share.
