Miss Edna from Ohio Labrador Retriever Rescue Services came back in yesterday for her weekly spa day. She is really enjoying coming in now.

While I would normally post before and afters from the same day, this really shows the amount of progress that has been done in two weeks. Edna has had a great reduction of her inflamed skin and is already growing hair back. Check out these Before and Afters from Week 1 to Week 2!

Today we were able to donate our services to a great organization. We reached out to our good friend Jennifer J. Ison with Ohio Labrador Retriever Rescue Services, when we saw Miss Edna was coming into the rescue. Edna has a bad case of Flea Bite Dermatits with a secondary yeast infection. She has gone through some vet care already.

Here at Pooch Pawlor, we are able to help treat her skin externally with our luxury products from Iv San Bernard USA, while the vet and Jennifer work on her internally, via a great diet and medicine to help her on the road to recovery. Edna will be in 1-2 times a week over the next few weeks. We will keep you updated on her recovery and adoption status.

It is believed she is between 5 and 7 years old. She will be available for adoption once she has undergone surgery to remove some masses and her skin is in good condition. If you would like to help off set the cost to the rescue, you can donate at https://venmo.com/u/Jennifer-Ison-8

Watch as Leigha works out Becket's dead undercoat. This technique is call carding. We do this on all Sporting and Terrier breeds. This is a form of Stripping the coat. This helps maintain sleek and silky esthetic.

Here at Pooch Pawlor, we keep up to date on our skills and grooming tools. Miss Gracie is a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon who is hand stripped and carded out. This process allows the coat to keep its true harsh and weather protected texture. Doing this does not hurt the dog. It is pulling out the dead shedding coat. Matter of fact, Gracie tries to fall asleep while we work on her.

Look at that change from her last appointment to this one. We were able to purchase new grooming tools that really helped us work through her dense coat with efficiency.
