Mr Ben Wants to say Hi and wish everyone a Merry Christmas
We said goodbye to our sweet Jake today. He turned 5 back in June. It was a decision that was extremely difficult for us. Around the first of the year, he started showing very small signs of some balance issues. They would come on go and would be VERY suttle. I blew it off as being a crazy "border collie". A few months past and we noticed his lack of balance was more prominent (like his he had a few beers) with a small tilt at times of his head. Took him to my vet, we did bloodwork, a good thorough exam with really no answers, but to be on the safe side, we did a round of steroids just in case. I was told there was a possibility it could be a brain tumor, but to rule that out, MRI would be needed. With that being said, hubby and I decided that he would live the rest of his life with us and never leave our home. A few months pass by and he went down hill fast. I took him back and we did some strong antibiotics to say we crossed off everything but one of the vets strongly feels (her opinion) that what he has experienced is a trauma of the brain. (Without a proper MRI or other testing we will never know). We have so many what ifs and WTF's. At the end, he struggled to walk. A part of me feels like I failed him. He will be missed and blessed we had him in our life. RIP Jake.
They are so driven to work and it takes time to train them to just relax and protect and most of all she wants to make me happy so she won't hurt them
We have video of our unicorn Rusty. We adopted him when he was 7 months old 7 years ago. After bringing him home, we realized he was abused and very special. One of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet, that is, if he ever makes his appearance lol. Here is a rare video of him playing with Skip.
You would think they never eat lol
