It seems one of the only times I get on here anymore is when we lose a member of our pack đź’”
Over the last 8 years our pack has grown much larger than just the dogs in our homes. But we love every one of these dogs like our own. And when one leaves us it seems like we never get the chance to say goodbye. Or spend that last little bit of time if we know their days are numbered.
We were supposed to be staying with Kasey soon, knowing he had cancer and had already had some struggles. Which no animal deserves.
Last night I got the text I didn’t want. His house won’t feel the same without him there. And I’m honestly glad Talen will be the one that’s there the majority of the time because I can’t handle it 💔
I hope Mia adjusts ok to life without her best friend. And can’t imagine his family having to go through feeling the emptiness of him not being there.
Kasey and Mia (and Leo, Moose, and Soonie, who were reunited with Kasey again yesterday) were some of the very 1st dogs we ever dogsat. Almost 7 years ago. Kasey was the sweetest boy who enjoyed chicken nuggets and giant bones we brought him often. We miss you so much Kays. No more pain. We love you ❤️
