So, our beloved Rocky would have turned 17 today 15.11.17. Incidentally our vet had indicated that he would live to about 17 given his pedigree. Yes, we still morn his loss like he was a member of the family as he was part of ours.

Some of our friends still think it hilarious that we are still mourning his loss. It is unfortunate that people still believe that animals were meant to eat the scraps from our table and sleep outside. I feel sorry that they will not feel the completely selfless love of a pet and I am so happy that we get to connect in this way with all of God’s creatures. I am especially happy that our daughter understands the magic of animals and lives in awe of them as do I.

We are grateful that we have memorialized Rocky by sharing his stories and somehow it feels that he will be with us always. For now, we say “happy birthday’ to our beloved Rocky we will always miss him.

Rocky was a wonderful white poodle terrier who we were blessed to have in our lives for thirteen wonderful years. Rocky impacted all our lives, including our daughter, Samura. These stories tell his life in part and how he enriched our lives.

For many years I just used facebook to keep in touch with friends. I totally understand that like me many people are still discovering the many other features like 'reviews'. I know a few of you have written wonderful posts but I need the review to be in the "review" option. i.e. first click on 'review' then you have the option of giving

A paperback may be suitable for an adult but hardcover books lasts much longer and make better keep-sakes for the young ones. Today, we received our leather bound copy that we will keep forever ….

Both Samantha and Samura found that reliving their times with Rocky immortalized their beloved pet and it has also been very therapeutic in dealing with his loss. They hope that Rocky’s infectious love will be felt by all who read these stories.
