Some kittens come to us needing food, warmth, and a safe place to land.
And some kittens come to us needing emergency medical care right away.
This little guy was one of six stray kittens brought to us by a kind community member. Several of the kittens had eye issues, but his needed immediate attention. He was the smallest of the litter, weighing just 0.78 pounds, and his left eye was so severely damaged that he needed emergency surgery.
At that size, surgery was scary. He was tiny, fragile, and his condition was guarded. But he made it through. ❤️
Thanks to support from the Orphan Kitten Club, we were able to move forward with his emergency eye enucleation and give him the care he needed without hesitation. He has since had his sutures removed and is healing wonderfully in foster care.
Not long ago, we shared how Orphan Kitten Club helped stock us with kitten formula to get us through the busiest part of kitten season. Now, they have stepped in again for one of the most vulnerable kittens in our care.
Kitten season is full of tiny lives that need big support, and we are so grateful to have Orphan Kitten Club helping us say yes when these babies need us most. Because of them, this little kitten has a chance to heal, grow, and someday find the family he deserves. 💛
