Dauphin Island Cat Association a non-profit organization that is trying to help cut down on the population of cats on the island with humane ways of TNVR.

The Dauphin Island Cat Association is working to humanely help control the population and help the cats in our community. The Dauphin Island Cat Association was created in 2013 and consists of all volunteers. The primary purpose of the 501(c) 3 organization is to control the population of feral and stray cats within the community of Dauphin Island, Alabama.We accomplish one goal primarily thru a m

ethod called TNR-Trap, Neuter, Return practices and by educating and informing the residents and visitors of our Island community. The focus of our group is to also protect and improve the life of feral/stray cats and to prevent animal cruelty. We also provide emergency service help to the feral cat population by means of vetting, foster and adoption. The actions of the association shall be held and maintained in the spirit of the stated goals. We are here to service the community and to provide spay/neuter solutions for free roaming feral cats. Come visit us at the Market in Green Park on Dauphin Island this Saturday, August 8th from 9am - 3pm. We’ll have lots of new wood burned pieces including coasters, bookmarks, utensils, and cutting boards! We’ll also have bracelets with dog, cat, and island themes in many colors and sizes! Every item is unique! All proceeds benefit DICA!

We know we probably sound like a broken record, but we’re once again asking for your help.

It was a busy long weekend for DICA!

🐾 We trapped 12 cats.
🐾 7 are being TNR’d.
🐾 1 kitten is safely in our care and waiting until it’s old enough for surgery.
🐾 4 had already been spayed/neutered and were released.

One of our volunteers spent over 8 hours outside during one of the TNRs! It’s just one example of the time, dedication, and love people into this
